I bought the Amazon Echo Dot for my wife as a Christmas present and it is very useful when she is cooking and or painting.

I bought the Echo for my SO to use for getting general info, setting alarms and playing music, but somehow we both expected a little more when it came to answering general questions. Still, well worth the $49

The echo product are super sweet, easy to use and fun to play with. i use it for all kinds of things, most work perfectly.

Apart from playing your favorite music and asking it how is the weather, my main use has been as a shopping list reminder.

The speech recognition on this thing is remarkable. I have a slight accent in my speech, but it was no problem using the Dot straight out of the box with no voice training. Even though Alexa is unable to always provide a response, reviewing the logs in the Alexa App shows that the commands were correctly captured (for example, what is the cube root of 63.83?). Range is good as I've been able to get Alexa's attention from more than 20 feet away. Alexa's text-to-speech is excellent, even if a little monotonic.

I love my Dot. I love it so much, I bought this as one to use in my kitchen. Don't stay on the fence about this, just buy it.

Got the ECHO for wife she loves it so we got the Dot for the Bedroom works great. Going to get another one for the office.

We love the Dot. It's been a fun addition to our kitchen and living room. We use it for all sorts of things. The only thing that would be better would be for it to be able to intercom or text other numbers.

I can't say enough good things about the Amazon echo. I own 3 and have given 5 for gidts so far! It's great for every age group.

Love my echo, actually have 2 around the house and they work great connecting them to shower speaker, soundbar, patio area etc.

Love the echo dot and all it can do. I use it daily and ask it questions, set timers and alarms, and my kids love it.

I got one for my boyfriend and myself it was on sale at Christmas I love being able to play any song using my voice so fun

Love the Amazon Dot. Have one in every bedroom and have the Echo in the living room. Works great with the wemo switches and plugs.

Bought for my father, he wanted to hear some random old music and ever time Alexa was able to find what he asked and played it.

Bought three of the echo dots for my grandkids for Christmas, ages 8, 12, and 14. They were so excited. They use it for homework, entertainment, and just plain information. Extremely good buy for the price.

These are a great addition to your house, and make your life so much easier. Shopping lists and To Do lists are easy and helpful

Very cool & fun to kind of play around with. Does a great job at controlling everything i have linked with my Harmony Hub.

This device has allowed me to voice control my lights, TVs, thermostats and many other devices. It is a must have for any techie!
