We have this little device turning in our tv, and other smart devices in our home. Great buy if you want to become even more lazy. It definitely helped me get there.

If for a small space it’s great, def doesn’t have the depth of sound for bigger rooms. May change my rating once I use it in conjunction with a bigger speaker or my surround sound.

If you like what Alexa and her skills (i.e., apps) can do for you, the Echo is likely the best way in. At $50 (or $40 during Black Friday), you get all of the full-fledged Echo's functionality except the good speaker. But that may not matter if you already have good speakers to hook up, or don't need to listen to music. The Dot's speaker is fine for that. One thing to note is that the new Echo Dot (2nd Gen) is cheaper because they replaced the volume ring with volume buttons.

Third echo in the home. Have them in different areas of the house to continue listen to music

This little one dose everything the big one dose ..great for music and use it for alarm clock

Very small and compact and a great companion in the absence of others. My mother in law loves it as she talks to "Alexa" to give her the weather report, set reminders, ask questions to, etc.
