The DOT is a great extension of the Echo. Even if used as a separate device, setup and ease of use is awesome!

Bought this to see what the capabilities of Alexa were. Within a week I had purchased a second Dot for myself in addition to 3 more as gifts for my entire family. I find myself talking to Alexa all the time: weather updates, playing music, setting an alarm, miscellaneous questions I don't know the answer to, even operating my TV. My only complaint is that, occasionally, Alexa will pick up "commands" from conversations or from the TV. Great product, I highly recommend.

Bought for the bedroom and bluetooth to speaker. Bluetooth speakers stays on, so the Dot is always connected.

I am an avid amazon shopper, and already own the 1st echo. I wanted the smaller version for my bedroom and I am very satisfied with the quality, and the size fits in well with my decor.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It was very easy to understand how it works and have it up and running.

Was an impulse buy for my fiance, and we love it! It was only $40 at the time, but even for $50 it's worth it. You can connect it to Pandora or Spotify, ask about the weather, find out interesting facts or news, and even set timers and alarms. The speaker on this model is pretty basic, similar to an AM radio, but it will pair with a bluetooth speaker or sound-system if you want. Perfect for controlling your music and asking questions and setting timers in the kitchen.

While the speaker quality is not nearly as good as with the Echo, this can be hooked up to higher quality speakers if desired. Great as an addition in a different room of the house.

I bought two Echo's and one Dot and love all of them. They are easy to setup and fun to use. Great price too!

We really like the device and use it daily for weather , news and music. Alexa has become a member of the family.

Love the fact that you can plug your speakers to the Echo dot, which makes it much louder when your playing music.

Debated on getting the large one but then decided I wouldn't really use it for streaming music as I have the Bose Revolve speaker and it pairs with it- bonus! This is perfect for what I need. Have it set up in my kitchen and can ask the weather, ingredient exchanges or measurements and simple items like that. If you don't really plan on using it as a speaker for your music, the inexpensive Dot is a perfect way to try out the whole "Alexa" thing.

The echo dot is a great item to have in my smart home I currently have 2 and will probably get more.

We have multiple echo devices around the house, and this one fits in well with everything else.

This Echo dot is very nice for music and for making grocery and to do lists. The only thing i dont like is that Alexa does not know a lot of things you ask her. Sound is good for music.

For the price this was a great buy for the 2nd Generation Echo Dot Just tell Alexa what station to tune to and gives you in the house XM Radio just like the car
