I wanted the Echo Dot for the bedroom to use as an alarm clock and to help me fall asleep at night. It is perfect for what I needed. I've enjoyed being awakened by music of my choice instead of the tones available on my cell phone. There are so many skills available on the Alexa app. I've tried a few and settled on one that has numerous sounds to help me sleep. This is better than any other methods and apps I have tried.
