Alexa works as advertised. We mostly use it to tyrn lights off from bed at night without getting up.

f you are interested in echo, try the dot first. For that matter, if you are interested in voice control of home automation, you need to give dot a try. Even if you choose to go with full echo later, you will find a place for dot or give it to someone to try. But don't be surprised that when you have a party at your house, you will realize how important it is to to have the aux connection. I tell everyone to go out and give dot a shot.

This product is very useful for information. There is a lot you can do with it if you take the time to set it up. Kids love asking questions and listening to Alexa sing!

The echo dot was a Christmas gift for my brother and he was more then pleased with how awesome it is.

When I first received my Amazon Echo, I only used it for very simple tasks such as weather, traffic, music, and jokes. It worked flawlessly for me. Since then, I've added the Samsung Smartthings hub, and I plan on expanding on what Alexa can do. So far, the Echo and Smartthings work very well together. I would recommend to anyone wanting to add a simple piece of fun technology or to anyone wanting to step up their home automation game.

The dot is super handy and easy to use. I bought it to use in the bathroom and it is perfect!

Easy to work and function. Setup was very quick. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoy the games and LOVE being able to compile a shopping list for everyone in the family. It's also a great way to have reminders for different family members.

Speaker is mediocre however you can hook up an external speaker, I use the Beats and it works great! The Dot is a must if you use Alexa to control lights and HVAC.

I have enjoyed my amazon echo dot so far. I haven't begun to use it to its full capability yet as I have yet to move but I look forward to unleashing it very soon.
