With Amazon Prime you get voice access to lots of music. Also, good if you have automated home products like light switches etc. Ok with Harmony remotes to turn on TV and other components most of the time. With two different Dots in two rooms if one isn't connected to speaker it sometimes starts playing music in the wrong room, but if both connected then works right. I bought some as gifts also. I enjoy telling Alexa to do things.

I bought it for my husband and it pairs great with the Bose revolve speaker. Great sound.

The Amazon Echo dot is a nice digital assistant once you learn how to use it. It can do a lot of things, but many things have to be turned on to function. You have to enable features so that it can calculate distances, then one to tell you about movies for example. I would try to ask something and couldn't get an answer. Then I looked it up on the internet and figured out how to ask the right question or enable the right feature so that i could get my question answered. Now I'm getting used to it and do find it useful. I would recommend it as a nice entry level personal digital assistant.

We keep it in the kitchen. It is a great way to access information without the use of your hands. It will even read your Audible books to you!

For the price I think is an excellent deal. I have alexas all over the house now

If you have not tried out any of the Alexa devices, this is the one to start with. It's cheap and it does everything the other non-screen devices will do. The only difference in the non-screen devices is the quality of sound from the speakers. As this is the cheapest, it's not going to be the best option for audiophiles. But to play some music in the kitchen while you're cooking or cleaning - it's perfect!
