Its syncs up with the fire stick allow you to search with it. Good for asking day to day questions for quick answers. Also able to play your amazon music. Sometimes it is too responsive, if the tv is on and it says Alexa or something close to it. It also seems like it will come on randomly by it self if you are talking.

Can't pass this up for the price

I have it connected to a Honeywell smart thermostat, and about 12 osram lightify bulbs. The echo dot is a great voice interface and is so great for the price. The speaker is so so but if you have a sound system with Bluetooth or audio input this is the way to go! I think everyone should have a dot!
