Last Christmas I received one of these Alexa dots. I didn't know if this would really be something I would ever use. Guess what? I love it. I bought 3 more for gifts for this year! I use it to play a favorite song, time something cooking in the kitchen, looking up facts instead of getting on the internet, Alexa will tell me a joke if I want to laugh, etc...

I keep one in the kitchen to ask it for conversions, recipes and just general information, as well as playing music, and one in the bathroom where I often need to ask about philosophical things in life. I prefer the shape of the dot over google's mini, as I can rest it on it's side. I find google's mini to be smarter, when asking questions though. Alexa all too often says "sorry, I don't know that". Still, it's a worthwhile gadget to have in the house. I bought mine when the sale price was $29

Amazon Echo dot (A.I.) is nice to have and i love the response time and the more you use it the more it learns and you can also teach alexa! new skills at anytime. if you truly don't feel like looking through your phone for the local domino's you can have alexa to place an order just by asking to do it if A.I. is what you're into then the echo dot should be your list.
