Got the Eco plus and I started putting dots and other rooms. Listen to music. Best part you use a like a intercom system throughout your house.

I love Alexa products way more helpful than Siri. Love all the features. I can set timers, make reminders, out together a shopping list and listen to music at the same time. Way better than tbe basic alarm clock it replaced.

I have never been so pleased with this product. I love how I can move it through my house and use it. I had to buy the white one to match decor.

I got this for my wife to use in the kitchen. She loves it. She uses it to set kitchen timers and listen to music. She wasn't crazy about the sound quality when music was playing, so I used a 3.5mm audio cable to connect it to some external PC speakers - it sounds great. The Echo Dot is a nice alternative (or entry point) to the larger and more expensive Echo.

Purchased as Holiday gifts for the kids so they can use it for their alarm clocks, check the weather and listen to their music in their rooms.

easy set up, very simple. it seems like you do need to expand the products knowledge in order to get the full benefits. I would recommend this

Easy setup. Works well. Only issue is if you have tv too loud or music too loud, you have to get close to echo for it to recognize your voice.

Amazon Echo Dot is as versatile as it's big sister. We purchased several as Christmas gifts. What a welcomed gift, and at an affordable price.

Bought this for my son to use in his bedroom to listen to music and get general amswers to questions from Alexa. Didn't realize that it works with my main Echo and now my son uses his dot o turn the lights on and off and change the channels downstairs while we're watching TV. He's enjoying the ability to mess with his mom and dad while upstairs in his room :-)

This little puck works wonders. It is definitely worth the money. Fun listening to music or audible books in different locations in the house.

I love my Amazon Echo Dot! It wakes me up in the morning and prepares me for the day with a weather report and the latest news. The speaker volume is actually good but I connected my Bluetooth speakers and can enjoy Spotify in any room. It is great for listening to audible books from Audible.com. I think it is just as powerful as my friend's Echo at half the price. No brainer!

I bought a full sized Echo a couple of months ago. It is so much fun to have around that I decided to get a Dot for another room. Good choice.

Ordered the echo dot and paired it with a Klipsh blue tooth speaker and it is absolutely phenomenal. I can sit on the deck and take the speaker with me and listen to great music for hours on end. My next purchase will be the battery for the dot and then I can take it with me so I don't have to go back into the house to have Alexa change music genres as the night progresses.

This is a great way to start your smart home. It can stand alone, but we paired it with an Amazon Echo Plus and they work very well together.

Was looking for voice control for smart home. Did not need the better sounding Echo. So far so good. Using it to control a variety of lights and outlets with good success. Wish Alexa would respond from further distances.

The Echo Dot is a pretty good way to enter into the world of Alexa. We’ve already got a bunch of Sonos speakers so the ability for them to y’all to each other was huge and Alexa can play music through our Sonos speakers.

Alexa is so cool. Alexa does so many things it's amazing. Give me the weather all the news plays my music and the alarm wakes me up everyday all I have to do is ask no need to mess with any buttons. Love it. Alexa is constantly updating in the background, getting smarter everyday. Still there's a ton of things left to be desired. I kinda wish Alexa had connection to wikipedia.

This is my third echo dot purchase and now that I have I could not imagine life without em! All work flawlessly with the TP link smart plugs!

I initially purchased one of these as more or less a novelty. However; after exploring what the Echo dot could bring to my home automation system, I purchased several more for deployment around the house. The beam-forming microphone array does a very good job in discerning your voice and, unlike another popular voice controlled product I tried, does not require you to raise your voice to be heard when the TV is on. That said, noise from running water or fans blowing (white noise) in the immediate vicinity may hamper recognition. If you have several throughout the home, they vote on which one heard you best to respond. Very cool. With the right integration (almost EVERYTHING can be made to operate with Alexa using some software and hardware add-ons), you will find that you will be using this to control everything from air cleaners, humidifiers, fireplaces, lighting, door locks, garage door openers, smart outlets, and various brands of smart lighting. I am currently controlling Zigbee, Z-wave, Wink, Nest, Lifx, Lutron, WeMo and (some) Iris products. Most of these do require the purchase of a dedicated hub, to be fair, but in the end you can put them all under the Alexa umbrella if you're willing to do a bit of research. Summary: A very flexible and capable voice controlled AI assistant for home automation.
