Very Entertaining

Bought (1) to try out and now have added multiple Echos to our home and family around country. More then just controlling your lights, there are many skills you can explore to make you smile and still access your daily events.

I have paired it with my thermostat and a few outlets and I can control my heat and lighting without leaving the table. It is great for my children because I can have the light come on in their room when they want to play. With the thermostat sensors in their room I can also raise or lower the heat.

it's an okay tool

Fun technology

We gave a number of the Echo Dots as Christmas gifts and the recipients love them. As for playing music, the speaker isn't great. We also have a Google Home and the speaker is excellent for playing music. We were going to buy a speaker to supplement the Echo Dot but decided to buy another Google Home instead. We'll still use the Echo Dot, just in a different place and not for music.

We use it at least once a day and it has become a major part of our family. It is especially useful for my mother in law who doesn't really know much about technology.
