Since I already have Siri on my iPhone it tough to justify the need. I use it as a speaker for my Spotify.

This unit is pretty nice and a lot of fun to use. It has some features that Siri doesn't but it is lacking some additional capabilities that Siri does, that's why 4 stars. For example I ask Alexa what is the White Sox schedule , it doesn't know but Siri works fine on this request. I'm sure Amazon will continue to improve the Alexa echo and echo dot, but for now it falls shy of 5 starts. For the price it's a nice addition to home automation.

I have had an Echo when it first hit the market after pre-purchasing. I have many LED bulbs connected via a Wink hub and use the Echo constantly. I did have problems in a rear bedroom getting the Echo to "hear" me, thus the Dot. My wife and I ask occasional questions from the Dot and use it daily to turn on bedroom and kitchen lights when we wake up and to turn off hallway and nightstand lights when we go to sleep. For its purpose it is outstanding.

I have the Echo and wanted to place in other rooms but did not want to purchase the full Echo since I had external speakers in the other rooms. This works the exact same and sounds great plugged up to the other speakers. The speaker on this is nowhere near as good as the Echo, but the capabilities are equal otherwise.

My husband always wanted me to play him a song from the computer, or look up a trivia question. When I saw this little wonder I had to buy it for him. Now he can "Ask Alexa" to play him a song or look up and answer to a question. This device is awesome. Even our one year old grandson knows who Alexa is!

If you have Alexa you need one of these. I bought it for my daughter and she loves it. When you have both no longer do you have to yell upstairs to the kids just tell Alexa to connect to the dot and you can have a conversation. The dot does everything Alexa does and you can have both working at the same time.

Great for having extra echos but the speaker is not so great. Price is excellent for what it is.

Besides being difficult to set up, as I’m not tech savvy, once I figured it out it worked great.

This amazon echo syncs easily and plays my music from any of my devices at request. Sounds great.

Request a song, ask her to play an album, ask her questions (don't expect answers for every single one!), Alexa, play BBC news, She is spot on! The interesting part is, I was surprised when she played my request for Celtic songs! One star less - unable to connect it to my Bose Micro - that may not be Alexa's fault! overall use is also constrained by my imagination! My major future wish is to have a short conversation with her!
