I actually bought this as a gift for my wife who, for the most part, had no interest in home automation whatsoever. But now that she has it, she uses it on a daily basis! Easy to setup and use. Minimal footprint. Dependable functionality that is always expanding. Only concern is that the sound quality isn't spectacular - but you really can't expect that from such a small device either. (Besides, you CAN pair with bigger speakers if you really need it.)

We have enjoyed the echo at circle time. No more shuffling through CD's and losing the attention of your class. Need to figure out how to play from playlists. I know it is smarter than I have figured out yet.

These are great and some cool apps. I turn on music, my tv, light, my robotvac, my thermostat. And use it for timers, and weather!

These dots make a great addition to my smart home set up. They work seamlessly with my main Echo. Simple enough to set up and use.

This is my first Amazon product and I love the function and all the this that it is capable of. I like that u can listen to Amazon music with it and that it has the ability to connect to Bluetooth devices.

Nice to have around the house so when you forget your phone you can always ask alexa to play music and find out other information.

I bought this after playing with my friends. We use it to play Pandora around the apartment. Will explore different functions soon

My entire family uses the Alexa including my 5 year-old and 14 year old daughters. It reads bedtime stories to my little one and plays music and help with homework questions for my oldest. My husband and I linked it to our lights throughout our house as well as our alarm system. We love it and will buy more in the future!

This will be a very good bedside companion. Control bedroom wifi lights, play music, setup alarm ,check traffic, weather., Love it.

So glad I bought the dot, our lives have changed much with Alexa arround. The whole family uses her services and makes our lives easier. We are constantly setting timers, reminders, alarms, shopping lists and best of all we get to control lights and various appliances through the smart home devices controlled by the Echo. We love this product.

The echo dot gives a whole new meaning to the word convenient. If I want to set an alarm without having to use my phone, I can. If I want to listen to music while going to sleep, I can. If I get bored and want to play 21 questions but have no friends, Alexa will play with me (and she guesses correctly 90% of the time, dang AI). The only complaint I have is that every so often it'll start talking to me or playing some strange music out of the blue. It can be a bit creepy trying to sleep and loud metal music starts playing, or she says "I don't know what ___ is." Maybe I'm just being haunted by ghosts, who knows but it can be a bit annoying. Regardless, I'm happy with my purchase and I'd recommend the echo dot.

Awesome product works in all aspects I wanted. Voice recognition picks up pretty far. Only downside is the speaker quality for music playback. Echo does sync to Bluetooth speakers which makes up for that.

This is my second Dot and I have it in the workshop. It is great to have and be able to do things without using my hands. Love it.

Works great and is exactly what you need to automate your house. Dot works best when you can Bluetooth to a sound bar or speaker.

Easy to set up and Alexa can do a lot of things like turn on and off the TV and lights! Just don't forget to buy the smart plug...

Love this product. It tells you the weather, plays your music and gives you a lot of information you need to know. JUST ASK! Responds so quickly when prompted. Easy to set up and user friendly. Will definitely get 2nd echo dot.

I'm really impressed by this little gadget. It (she?) Responds promptly and accurately. I can yell from cross the room and I'll get a response. It was simple to set up, and I love that it uses an app and records all of your requests to it for easy look-up. I wish it was battery powered for easier relocation around the house, and there are times where I'll ask a question from point blank range and get no response. When using, make sure the background noise is limited and you're speaking clearly.

Love the little dot. I use it as a satellite Alexa in my office. It's great not having to yell across the house to the Echo Plus.

This is my second Alexa device. It is a great compliment and works great in the bedroom for alarms and controlling smart devices.
