Decided to leap into the Alexa realm after much research. Have been an Amazon Prime customer for a couple years. Echo dot and prime are a great match. Don't overwhelm yourself with all the background settings in the beginning. You'll get the hang of it with more usage over time.

The echo dot was easy to set up and is fun to use. Might be expanding it to more of the house.

The Echo Dot is ok. Sound quality is less than desired, but not unexpected given it's small size. It larger sibling has much better sound quality. That said, you can always pair the Echo Dot to a bluetooth-enabled speaker that has better sound quality. The Alexa feature works well, though the microphones in the Dot could probably be improved.

Great device, And you can change the "wake up" name. You're not required to use Alexa as the wake name. It may not know everything but it's worth the cost. And now with my Amazon FireStick, it can turn on the TV and access You Tube.

It’s perfect for a quick tech gift. People with amazon prime may find more use than others.

This is easy to use. Fun to challenge! I was able to access my CD's downloaded from my i pod!

Needed a extension to work with my new Amazon Echo so I could use it in my basement. Works great.

Great Product! It takes time to learn how to speak to Alexa, but once you understand all is well.

Good buy at this price point. Decent stand alone option, but better as add-on to Echo for other rooms.

We've enjoyed having the Dot around to turn off/on lights, recite the morning headlines, weather reports and managing our shopping lists. But as much as anything we just use it for amusement, jokes, Simon Says or just to see what she's capable of. At this point, it's mostly a gimmick bit the potential is there.

I had extensively reviewed, and researched, before I bought; so, I knew what I was getting. There's lots of room for Alexa to become more "fluently conversational", and this sometimes leaves you choosing your requests very carefully, to avoid the "I don't understand" response. Echo has integrated wonderfully with my Iris Smart Home switches, plugs, thermostat, etc. I have one of these at home, and one of these in my Semi Truck.

So far it works great...providing me with the information I request and a whole lot cheaper than Alexa

I use this mainly for listening to music. Very cool. The larger one sounds better but this one is cool

Bought six of these and one Amazon Echo. Have these in virtually every room and the hallway. Alexa controls my whole house with the lighting and buying the the echo's at a big discount during Christmas, I actually calculated get two free after the price I paid at discount verses the regular price

Works great.Nice and small.Works great with Bose Bluetooth speaker. The white color looks great.

If you can't afford the Echo and already have a Bluetooth speaker I defiantly suggest getting the Dot.

I purchased the Dot after having already purchasing an Alexa and a Tap. Functionally (sans music reproduction), the Dot matches the Alexa in word recognition and function. While the sound reproduction does not match the full-size Alexa (and certainly not the Tap), the Dot's voice function is good and the music reproduction passable (barely). While I have not connected the Dot to an external speaker or stereo, that function is available.

This is a great deal if you want to have Alexa. Just get your Bluetooth speaker and you are set!
