Echo dot is easy to setup. Took less than 10 minutes. Easy to use. Either voice or app controlled.

I had an Amazon Echo and never thought about getting an Echo Dot. Now that I have it in my home office I don't know why I didn't do it before. I use it to get new briefings, listen music and set alarms and reminders. I have even tried some of Alexa's "skills". Money well spent on a very useful device.

It was Christmas gift for daughter. She is still learning how to use it, but loves it so far.

I could not pass on a great Black Friday deal. The Echo Dot has been a great addition to our home. I like to buy another one for the bedroom. My fiancee likes to use it for music while doing housework. She had asked for recipes. We like to ask for a joke. The kids like to say hi to her. I gave it 4 stars instead of the 5 due to the speaker. I may consider adding a blue tooth speaker for better sound quality. It is the way of the future.

Amazon dot is a great gadget to have around the house. Just ask her anything an she will respond.

East set-up, works well. I bought it primarily to control my Dish receiver with verbal commands.

The dot is essential if you have a smart home setup. My main use is with Philips hue and Lifx lights and for 50$ the lights alone are worth it. I also use it to call my phone when I misplace it and set timers/alarms. It works from far away and it responds to the wake word "computer", which is just cool

I love the Echo dot. I have 4 of them throughout the house running the lights, air conditioners, etc. The only request that I currently would make is that you be give more than just three choices of names to address them by. I would like to be able to name mine "Computer" otherwise this is a great product.

Works great to command my harmony remote for my TV and AV system. Also nice to get NPR news up dates.

My original Echo, and now the Dots I've added to it, have become the central hub of all of my Smart Home gear. This makes it easy to control lights, locks, fans, appliances, and so many other tools in our home. Plus, it has a lot of everyday usefulness that we enjoy. You won't regret adding this to your home.

Small. Compact. 2nd generation much improved over the first. Still struggles to hear me 10 feet away.

I brought Echo Dot as a starting point to whole home automation along with Philips Hue Smart lights. I'm 2 days in and I love it, Alexa (asst. on Echo Dot) is fast and accurate even with my New England accent. Setup was easy and it works across all of my Apple Products (iPhone and iPad) without an issue.

I still have much more to explore but been using it as an alarm and getting news and weather from it.

Great and fun to use. The best part is it will only get better in time with future firmware upgrades.

The speaker is not very powerful but being able to pair it with Bluetooth is a great feature. The biggest challenge that Amazon has compared to Google is that it does not have the database to draw from. Thus answers are not as through and complete. Though it does have a better way to sync to your Amazon books and music and can also order items from Amazon.

I gifted Echo to one of my family members. They liked it very much and very easy to set up and use.

I bought The Echo Dot for my vacation home and it works just like the larger Echo except it's a lot smaller. The speaker still sounds good for such a small device, but not quite as full sounding as the Echo. It's good enough for me, so that I don't plan to connect another speaker to it. Well worth the money.

I purchased 4 of these for Christmas gifts. All 4 individuals love them. I am amazed each time they tell me what they are doing with their echo dot. A few examples are using it as an alarm clock, setting reminders, grocery lists, making telephone calls, ordering on Amazon, and playing jeopardy.

It is great to turn on lights and get music by talking to this "dot". I just wish it could do a little more like erase "cards" and do skill sets from voice commands. I am looking forward to more electronics to support the device too! I've found some light switches and wall switches, but would like to see more talking between the "edge" and the "dot" such as intercom between rooms. It is neat and fun and I would recommend this item.
