Well, straightforward Echo Dot for Amazon Prime!

This is for the 2nd generation which was quite some time ago, but its fine, its still workable. The new 3rd generation ones have better audio and works faster. But this is still pretty decent too.

Nifty learning tech

I like the fact that it's always learning. I don't currently have any home automation devices but, when I do this is going to be so much cooler than it is now. Think of it as your own little personal assistant.

Great starter

My christmas present form my husband was this Alexa he said it would be a great starter one and later we could upgrade. It's perfect for my needs now. Only down fall is when i say my daughters name it picks up, other than that it's great..

The News briefings are nice too. For $50 it is cheap enough to try. The shopping list option is handy too. "Hey Alexa, add milk to the list." Then I just open the Alexa app on my phone and see what I need to get at the store.

Great product for the cost

Wife really enjoys using this in the kitchen to start timers and listen to her audible books so she doesn't have to touch things. Not perfect voice recognition but best I have seen so far. Getting on sale for $40 was a great buy.
