You'll want to plug this into a speaker or home audio system. Can stream amazon prime music, any music you've purchased from amazon, other music streaming apps, some radio stations, and any music or streaming apps you have on a phone or tablet...oh, and there's the other Alexa/echo features as well....

Great little speaker to listen to music. It’s not super loud but it does the job.

I purchased one of the Echo Dot's with skepticism wondering "how good could this be?" Well, let me tell you, Alexa is a great addition to the family bringing jokes, music, easy shopping, daily interesting facts and weather info!! It was so much fun we bought 5 more for family members!!!! You'll love her!

It was easy to set this up. Seems to work with the Hue lights after finding bridge. Great product.

I would give the Echo 6 starts if I could. Amazing product and so many different things you can do with it. I have it tell my my morning commute, add products to my grocery list and also have it connected with my harmony remote to operate my TV and audio system. I just wish the light bulbs were cheaper.

Its good for checking the weather and my daughter loves it but the fact that I can't get it to connect to any other music app is nerve racking. It wants me to sign up for amazon music, I already have spotify, apple music and google music so I'd rather not sign up for amazon music but that the only way to get music to play independently without Bluetooth it. Besides that it tells joke and its convenient for fun facts etc.

This product is wonderful and a great price. Just as good as the newer models.

Fun to use. Had a Google Home tired of saying hey google. Grandkids can say Alexa easier.

Haven’t used it yet. Received in a timely manner. Not sure why I bought it, Siri on iPhone does the same thing. Just another toy

Very easy to use and set up. I am not sure I prefer this to the Google products.

We put this Echo Dot in the garage to stream music for my dogs when we're not home during the day. As a speaker, the sound quality is not great. I'm sure the dogs don't care about the sound quality LOL. We also use it to communicate when one of us is working in the garage, just like when we used to have intercoms back in the day. I am buying the 3rd generation Dot now that they are on sale.

My 7 year old simply loves this thing! She figured out that she can hook it up to a portable phone/ipad battery pack, so now Alexa is totally mobile. The down-side is that somehow, without authorization from me, Alexa signed the kid up for some sort of song fee and charges now show up on our bill.

There's not much to do, I mean Spotify you have to be premium and that's annoying. Plus it takes forever to ask her to search something for you. Although I have to say that the sound is great and it has very good voice recognition, it can hear me from across the room with a whisper and even when you are blasting music. Not bad just not that useful.

i don't think that the money you pay for this item will be well spent. i upgraded to the bose. different product but i love it!!!

I like the eco dot, it has some really nice features. I can listen to music while I sleep and I check the temperature outside. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because the only light bulb it works with is the one that you can only buy on amazon. I like my electronics with more flexibility. If you buy the philips hue you have to have a bridge in order to sync it with the eco dot. That is the only complaint I have about it.

I purchased the dot to see what it was all about. It's actually really cool. Very handy to get real time information and controls smart home devices. Very responsive mic. Little disappointed with the speaker quality. Not that great as would expect to play musics. Overall great deal to buy.

Very helpful and fun to use. Set reminders, check weather, look up recipes and play games.
