Lots of useful apps after weeding through the not so useful ones. I've got my bedroom lamps and tv hooked to Wemo plugs to be controlled by Alexa. Great buy for $50.

Fun and useful product

She is now able to set her med reminders easily and the unit is loud enough to wake her if she is napping. The sound quality is acceptable but as Amazon said it was designed to be connected to external speakers while providing all the features of the Echo at a third of the price.

Good Cheaper Option

I would recommend getting the original first, and getting this as a companion/extension to the original. Its definitely worth every penny and they work together, which is great.

It works well and connects with our thermostat and Wemo switch. Easy to set up and especially useful if you have Amazon Prime, iHeart Radio, Pandora or TuneIn Radio. I wish it worked with the Sonos system.
