awesome product and males everything easy, just call out on alexa! :)

I like this item's ease of setup and use. we use often for almost every question.

We absolutely love our Alexa, especially my 4 year old son. He loves to ask her questions. We do not use it for shopping, so I cannot speak to that. My only issue is that I wish she had more of a personality or snappy comebacks. She is pretty dry. Maybe downloadable personalities in the future? There has also been many questions that she has not been able to answer. Basic ones:/

A pretty awesome device that makes our smart home much smarter. Using it to control our Nest and Smart Lights is awesome. Mixing that with all the usual perks of a smart device, and you've got a great gift for any tech lover. Actually bought this for a friend's birthday.

Great for shopping list, weather, and controlling home environment through Wink.

It was as advertised and was easily connected to my Ecobee3 and Smartthings stuff. My wife uses it all the time now, great in kitchen for background music (not best sound, but not expected to be), turning on lights, etc. Already have bought a 2nd one to expand coverage area.

It was easy to setup online. Everyone in the family loves to ask Alexa questions.

I have google home, mini google and Alexa dot now. I liked Alexa Dor more than google in how it uses different apps. However google’s home and mini voice are louder and more deeper than Alexa which I like more in google. All in all I love Alexa more.

Bought this product prior to Christmas for the visiting grand kids. The whole family found it fascinating and fun to use. As we learn more about it's capabilities I plan to buy the full size Echo. It has a little better sound range for playing music. We highly recommend it.

The echo dot is fun and neat but I will have to admit it struggles with smart home integration and communicating easily with smart thermostats (ecobee3 for us). The internal microphones are pretty sensitive and can pick up your voice from across the room usually. It's fun but outside of telling you the weather and spending more money through Amazon, the echo loses steam quickly in our house.

Alexa is great. My family have a google home and right off the bat I can tell you alexia is much more responsive and snappy than google home. It does take other devices to make your home work though, don't expect Alexa to be your one stop shop for a smart home. Overall great product. I like that you get special deals with the product and the unit picks up verbal queues really well

I'm super happy with this and it's part of my life now. The speech recognition is incredible and there's more to add all the time. I've already gotten an external speaker and unlimited music for it. No one that gets one of these could be disappointed - I'm just not sure how

It has answered every question put to it without fail. provided detailed information related to subjects we (grandson and I) had absolutely no knowledge. My grandson is very interested in the galaxy and Echo Dot was a plethora of informa6tion in that category. It is also well versed in all sports which was expected. It will be a very valuable tool in our endeavor to obtain his GED diploma.

My whole family enjoys talking to Alexa! It is a useful and fun item! Alexa isn't always able to answer my questions, but we are still learning how to pose questions and how to add useful apps to get what we are looking for. Sometimes "her" answers will surprise you!

I wish I had one of these in every room! We have many smart home devices, and these are great to control them. Could the sound quality be better? Sure, but these are not meant to be hi-fi stereo quality. Get the regular Echo if audio quality is your priority.

does everything you want it to ,plays music,games,great little toy for the price

Really like the form factor and integration of Amazon with other services. We use with Logitech Harmony, Philips Hue, and Belkin WeMo devices. Good product overall. Only downside is the AI can only recognize specific commands. Waiting for the day when it's a little smarter.
