This 2nd generation Echo Dot continues to provide a variety of music by request. Weather reports in the morning are useful. I need to find more uses for the device as "I don't know that one" is a common response. Would like to be able to give it a name instead of the 2-3 choices you can use. It would then make it more fun to use.... :)

It’s a great little accessory to have around the house. Can be fun to get info from especially in a pinch

Excellent for my disabled father in law!! Easy to make his home a smart home!

Integrated with Sonos , Lutron, Nest & Elan . Did not work with Lift Master.

I have added a speaker to the Dot and enjoy listening to all kinds of music.

Great addition to the echo. The only con was that when we talked to the echo, the dot upstairs would respond too. Has the ability to change the name from Alexa to a few other choices, so I did that so that both don't respond simultaneously. Problem easily fixed.

Love the small size, works well ,can't wait to get lights to go with it!!

I bought the Eco on the hype. I thought it would be cool but I never thought I would use it so much. I use it at least 5 times a day, and sometimes more. I love some of the features, but it still lacks some intelligence and connectivity. It is a fun thing to have around and it is very helpful when you have a question that you want a quick answer.

I'm enjoying this product but am surprised about how much she cannot answer.

So far with several Dots, I control SONOS, and most of the light fixtures in house. Set up for the Flash news briefing and listen to it while dressing or making coffee. Even good for quick weather check. Different skills for nature sounds, sports, etc.

The Amazon Echo Dot is a great personal assistant that provides information, music from various sources such as Amazon Prime music, sets alarms. In addition it can creat "to do" lists and shopping list (which my wife likes) that can be access from your smart phone.

I would recommend this product for the price. It was easy to set up and use.

The dot is great and useful for controlling my lighting all around the house

The dot is affordable and can easily work in any home since it can work with your stereo system via AUX or Bluetooth. Alexa is a big help in the kitchen and an even bigger one for music. Plus, she helps with math I don't feel like doing in my head. All around genius.

Works well for basic question and answers but struggles a Lot with more complex questions...like what to do if you have a cold or simple recipes. Seems to work with my Spotify ok, but it has does not show up on my other Spotify Premium accounts/devices when the app says it should. Will keep playing with it.

Not my first Echo and not my last. I gave Echos to my brother and sister for Christmas,and I bought this one for my mother especially because of the AskMyBuddy app. We had purchased an alert bracelet but she didn't like it. AskMyBuddy and Echo are perfect for her!

This is a cheap alternative to experience what the Echo and Alexa service can do. The only disadvantage is that the speaker doesn’t compare to the quality of the Echo speaker and sometimes in noisy environments you have to raise your voice a little so the Dot can hear you. If you are transforming your house into a smart home this is an excellent addition to you smart home project.

Been using Amazon Echo and Alexa for the last few years. Such a convenience and much better than Google Home I’m my opinion especially since we do a lot of Amazon shopping as well. Some may prefer Google just not us
