It works and it's compact, but prefer the all-in-one Echo better.

I purchased the dot, and put it in the living room. We have Dish, and it’s great be able adjust or tune the TV when the remote isn’t handy. We’are now adding pieces to control lights etc. I’lol be programming the lights for vacations.

We have owned the Amazon Echo since they were first introduced, and with the great price at Christmas time we bought several Dots for other places in our house and to give as gifts. We love all the great features that are continually being added.

I didn't want to pay for a full blown Echo, so this Dot was a great way to verify operability for my purposes. I mounted it under a cabinet in the kitchen, and its not uncommon to ask "Alexa, what's the weather {today|tomorrow}" around here now!

I love my Echo Dot. However, the technology, like many in its infancy, isn't the most reliable and is flawed. I'm constantly having to re-enable "skills" that I've already done multiple times. And Alexa's speech recognition is good, but could be improved upon. Overall, definitely worth the money. But later versions will certainly be improved upon.

Still learning so much more about what Alexa can do but overall I’m enjoying it. It can be quite expensive to operate your home using the Echo but if you purchase the extras a little at a time it can wind up being very fun and helpful.

So far this is a nice little music player for a small kitchen no complaints. I've added the Harmony remote skill and can remote turn on the TV etc which is pretty neat as well. Looking forward to experimenting with other skills and feature as time permits. At $40 it's a good introduction to Alexa eco-system to see if its something you would use.

Alexa is very helpful....sometimes...it seems like she wants to do her own thing a lot. She will randomly play a song or if I tell her to stop playing the music she will just ignore me ..multiple times so I have to just go turn her down manually. She is great when she wants to listen.

Just plug it and it walks you through the set up very easy to use

Have both Google Mini & Echo Dot. Based on my test, when you make a call from the speaker, call quality is better with Google. I had hard time hearing with Echo. Echo is able to make receive a call, Google only allows to broadcast. I prefer Google due to call quality. However, if you very tied to Amazon echo system, Echo is better.

I absolutely adored the Alexa virtual assistant upon picking up the Amazon Echo Dot. However, the sound quality was a bit disappointing. This said, I wound up keeping the Dot in the kitchen and upgrading to the original Amazon Echo for my bedroom.

My wife and I were recently sent a pic of our niece enjoying various Christmas gifts while listening to Alexa play her favorite "IHeartRadio" music station. She said, "Alexa was a big hit" and we all know that she is capable of doing so much more!

Pretty good got the price. Gifted it to someone and she loves it.

Love this small size of the Echo, perfect to bring on the go.

Product is decent. Alexa is annoying at times. Will recommend

Easy to setup. The wife loves it. It's great with Amazon Prime.
