The Echo Dot does what it says. It is a great "office assistant"!

The Echo is fun to use. It takes some time to "train" it with different commands and it sometimes get the requests wrong, but you're able to correct it through the app so it's more accurate. It has many useful and fun features such as discounted Amazon orders, recipe and shopping list storage, and is also very convenient if paired with the smart lights.

The device itself is beautiful, well made, and easy to set up. My main use for the dot is home automation and it sometimes falls short of alternatives like Siri's HomeKit integration. When I say "turn on the bedroom lights" it doesn't know what I mean. I can only say turn on/off all of the lights. Could be updated on the hue or Alexa app side of things.

Cheapest way to get a good smart home with Alexa. Within a month of buying a dot I bought 3, an echo show, and a echo big speaker because I was so impressed with the technology. With alexa skills you can do all sorts of random stuff.

The amazon dot has helped me further the automation of my home. It turns the lights on and off. Helps control my thermostat as well, I am.super excited to learn that it will be compatible with my appliances as well. Truly amazed by this product!

So i chose to purchase this instead of the $150 unit. The idea was to have multiple echo dots spread throughout my home so that whatever room im in i can control my house with the combination of these devices and the samsung smarthings hardware.

Voice control over all my lights has been the best addition!!

I have two Amazon Echo Dot's in my house and use it to connect my entire home. I love using Alexa to turn on and off lights and make sure the pets are okay. I listen to radio around the house as I'm doing chores and her skills are truly amazing!

These devices are fantastic. I have several of them and they control the lights, my soundbar and are connected to my video doorbell. I'm still learning all the features they have but so far, they are really awesome!

Perfect for a small room. Sounds great, and Alexa is very smart.
