I have an Echo in the dining room where I spend a lot of time. I have a Dot on my nightstand and one in the living room hooked up to my receiver and surround sound. Absolutely love these for controlling lights, streaming music, timers, etc..

Bought this for my wife, and have been laughing ever since. I keep hearing her talking to Alexa. She now has someone to talk to whenever she likes. She finds that Alexa is great for keeping track of her shopping list and other to do lists.

I have now purchased 6 Echo Dots for my house and use them multiple times a day. They help me do everything from describe the weather outside, to reading me the news, to turning on/off lights, to setting the temperature on my thermostat. Definitely an economical way to start turning your home into a "smart home".

Mainly use with amazon music, and it works perfectly along with the battery so I can use in garage. Wifi connection setup is easy with the alexa app. I have tried using with harmony control and it works, but I just like my remote better.

It's good to have around when you want to be lazy.

Google understand the semantics of the sentences. Amazon Alexa is little behind in this.

The Echo Dot is actually the better of the Amazon devices when it comes to audio, because it will output via Bluetooth or line, allowing connection to everything from little Bluetooth speakers to massive stereo systems. Love it!

Bought 1 and loved it. Got 3 for the kids and they love it in their rooms to listen to music....only downside to haveing so many linked to 1 account, will turn off the others when someone else is listening to music on spotify, etc....wish it could allow multiple dots to play different music off 1 account at once

Love these things. I’m addicted to being able to control as much as possible with my voice. I now have one in five different rooms. Plus two Echos. The Dots aren’t as good for listening to music, but still serve many purposes.

I love my new echo dot!! It really does come in handy.

I have my echo synced up with my harmony hubs and Philips hue and enjoy the ability to control the tv and/or lights with my voice. Controlling the lights without having to get up is nice but the biggest get for me is when I am cooking and my hands are messy - I can control the tv and the lights in the kitchen without stopping my cooking.

I already had one sitting in my kids room. I was missing one in my living room. I will eventually buy one more for my guest room and my master bedroom. Great alternative to a radio/alarm clock/personal assistant/weather monitor etc etc.
