I bought this for my sister who is in college. I bought the bigger 1 for my mom but since my sister is in a small dorm room she only needed the little 1.She loves it, uses it everyday when she gets home from class.

I’ve bought a couple of these now - I also have a few of the newer generation. These are great for the bedrooms. The only reason for the four star instead of five star review is the speakers are a step down from the newer gen. Depending on the size of the space would determine which I would buy.

I don't know how we ever lived without Alexa! Never have to wonder about the time, weather, alarm clock! Want to hear a certain song, tell Alexa! Best device thus far! Love it! A personal assistant without paying a salary!

I got my Alexa when it was one sale and I love how it can be connected to smart light bulbs and other smart IoT stuff. I was also able to program my own skill which is fun to do if you have some coding experience

I bought this to control my Phillips Hue light bulbs with voice command and it works great. I can listen to Spotify on it as well but the sound isn’t that great. There are still many more features I have yet to try.

Once connected to WiFi I can simply move to any room in my home and my Dot will automatically reconnect when plugged in. Voice response is awesome. And she tells good jokes. Much better than being a joke like Siri.

This is a handy gadget. Hands free and user friendly.

I have both an Echo Dot and an Echo Plus. The Dot is very useful for basic voice commands, but the sound quality for playing music is rather poor. I mostly use it for voice commands and as an intercom between it and the echo plus so my wife and I don't have to yell at each other through the house.

This is a good supplement to the larger echo unit. The speaker is poor quality.

This product is amazing. Everyday I find new things it's capable of doing for me. It's like having a personal assistant that doesn't argue with you and never lets you down. I can't wait until it is able to help clean my house.

He loves it. Took a little longer to setup than my in-laws, maybe because he used the Iphone app. I use the google app with my google home. I think its an excellent product, especially for prime users like my in-law

I was hesitant to connect this and have Amazon listening all the time. I now use it all the time after connecting the audio output to my home music system. Now i can tell it what to play using my voice. Very useful.

I purchased 6 Echo Dots and gifted them to all of my service providers, from my local butcher to the custodian at work. They love me for me it. LoL! I love them twice as much. Thank you.

Alexa is awesome. The echo dot sells for $50 which is a great price. It's amazing in its simplicity. Maneuverable however it has room limitation, so we might need another one. I have mine connected to my Nest and Phillip hue.

I don't use it as a speaker but more to control my Control4 Smart home. Integration is fun to control lights and the such. But the control4 control is sometimes a hit or miss, yet the control of Philips Hue is 100% every time.

Not a bad product. Easy to use once you get it setup.

I haven't ventured into smart home technology yet, but I wanted to start with an echo dot as a media player (paired with a speaker). It works great for that, and I'might going to keep building over time with automated lights

It's a Fun little toy. Works great most of the time.

Way way better then other AI. Works with Fire TV too.
