I can ask it just about any question and it gets me an immediate answer. It plays music, I have it controlling my lights.

best gadget ever, liked it so much brought a second on for the bedroom. cant wait to get some smart things to go with it.

I actually started with an Amazon Echo Dot to see how the whole thing worked without having to spend a lot of money. I was amazed at how cool and useful the Alexa system can be. We were using one Echo Dot to make lists, check the weather, set calendar appointments, set alarms, and even play rainstorm soundtracks to help sleep at night. My birthday was just a couple of weeks ago and my wife got me the Echo as the main Alexa hub in our living room. The built-in speakers sound pretty good for what they are. Definitely a huge improvement over the Dot's built-in speaker, but even the Dot has a nice sound for as small as it is. We now have 4 Echo Dots and the Echo to control all sorts of WEMO switches and outlets around the house. We already had a NEST thermostat which integrated nicely and easily. The best thing is that Alexa understands all of our different voices... even our 4 year old. He can now turn his bedroom light on by asking Alexa to do it so he doesn't have to be afraid of the dark! It really is a very cool and convenient system. My wife thought it was silly at first, but she actually loves it. It's great for playing your iHeart Radio and Pandora stations too!

Great product! I️ was able to purchase at a great deal through Black Friday. Best gift given at a gift exchange for sure!

As expected, this product does what it's supposed to do. This is my 4th Dot, and I also have an Echo (much better sound).

So I went to buy an echo dot to pair with my harmony hub and sadly no best buy near me had any of the 3rd generation dots in stock. So I had to pick up the 2nd generation dot. I read a bit about both dots and the differences and it seems the main improvement in the 3rd generation besides the look is the speaker. Other than that the 2nd gen dot still works well. I connected my 2nd gen dot to an external speaker which made it sound fantastic. The sound on the 2nd gen dot isn't that bad since it's in my room though I can see how in a living room the sound wouldn't be loud enough. Again with an external speaker this isn't an issue. I also like that this has 7 microphones to pick up speech instead of just 4 microphones on the 3rd gen dot. I also don't mind the look of the 2nd gen dot. Alexa works wonderfully with my harmony hub, it allows me to turn the tv on and off and change channels through voice commands. I also like getting weather updates and news updates as well. Overall it's a handy device that I don't know how I lived without before.

Works great! Small but sounds really good. I use it in the kitchen while cooking, have it play music and answer questions.

Alexa makes it really simple to listen to music, set alarms, and more with only my voice! Very cool, our family loves it

Technology has come a long way and these little things really prove that. Easy to set up, lots of uses. Highly recommend

The ability to voice control turning on lights, or playing music or setting up reminders/alarms is a must for busy momma

I bought this because it seemed like a very usefull product. We use it every day. We paired it with a Bluetooth speaker so you can take the sounds any where in the house plus it gives you the same functionality as the echo for half the price. An added benefit is I can control my. Nest thermostat with it. I would recommend it to anybody.

I wanted to add this product with the other Amazon Alexas so i could hear music in all the rooms. It was easy to set up.

I bought this because I have sonos speakers. Honestly wasn't too interested before. It's become a useful item. Weather, controlling my speakers, my television, my schedule. Alexa has many uses.

Great product, use it for an alarm, never fails. Also your turn on and off bedroom light. Going to get one for kids too.

For the price, this little Dot is very fun! Super easy to set up and to use. It has its own speaker built in, so you don't really need external speakers. We use it a lot to play music, so we have it paired with a bluetooth speaker for a richer sound. A friend recommended it before Christmas when it was on sale and I'm glad we bought it!

I have one already in the color white but I wanted another in black. It is superb. Works just as well as an amazon echo.

I have used all of them from Siri to google assistant but this one is the best out there, try it u won’t be disappointed!

Echo Dot is a fun to use. It was easy to hook up. Only thing to be careful on you must say Alexa properly or it starts then stops on your request. I thought the unit was defective . It wasn't it but me. Once I figured that out it works well. My favorite answer from Alexa was Alexa what do you think of Siri ? She answered I like all AI

This item is fantastic to add Alexa features to any small part of the house. Pricing is good and the size is just right.
