The Echo Dot is fine , especially at the holiday prices but you can't install it in your car, as I was trying to do. Or rather, you can but it's problematic. The better option is to wait for the Echo Autio to come out this Spring.

Dot is a great addition to any home. While the speaker isn’t especially good it can be easily paired with a Bluetooth speaker for a better sound quality. This is a great way to introduce your home to Alexa.

I was So excited about this product that I bought 3 more for friends and family. The last one was a little disappointing because everyone sold out so quickly I wasn’t able to get it in time for the holidays.

You want a great and easy gift for white elephant... well then look no further! Everyone was after this great purchase! The voice assistant is somewhat accurate. You can’t bring down the volume of speaker with a conmand using percent values vs the google speaker... but besides that it’s a great purchase

I think I like the regular Echo better, I know speakers were not as big but seemed louder in store. I haven't tried hooking up to external speakers yet. Our internet/wifi is not the best in our area but seemed to have more issues with dot then I did with the regular echo wonder if there is a difference there as well.

I live the eco dot but it was essentially a 50.00 dollar alarm clock. I have mostly apple products here and it does not work with iTunes or iOS. But if you are not an Apple house I would recommend this to everyone.

I own both the Echo and Echo Dot. The dot serves its purpose as a cheaper way to add Alexa to every room in your house. Of course the speaker isn't as good as the bigger Echo, but it will do.

I have a total of three echos. It acts as an alarm clock, a timer, turns on and off lights and locks and unlocks doors. With the echo dot my my side I'm on my way to fully automating my house.

I PURCHASED THIS ECHO DOT FOR MY BFF DAUGHTER AND STILL HAVEN'T MADE MY WAY TO DELIVER. IT WAS MEANT TO BE A CHRISTMAS GIFT. LOOKS LIKE THIS WILL BE HER VALENTINE'S DAY GIFT. I KNOW SHE WILL ENJOY HAVING IT.

I was on the fence about buying an Alexa. Love it so much that this makes my third one. I can use them as intercom for my house. Bestbuy had a great sale of them. Love it !!!! Can’t go wrong with this item.

Got one for both kids, which they love. They enjoy their music on these and the alarm clock. I like being able to use it as an intercom when they are in their room, lot less yelling their name over and over.

Alexa is now my go to for music, weather and quick workouts! Just enabled the call feature. Loving the convenience of that as well. Fav skill is earthquakes. Because asking earthquakes "what's shaking?" Is fun. Lol

I was initially skeptical to the practicality of the echo. But once I used it i have fallen in love with it. I use it for news, movies titles and daily weather. It's versatility is exceptional and I use it everyday.

The echo dot is already a part of my daily routine to determine what to wear based on the weather report from Alexa as well as traffic updates, any events on my calendar, etc. The echo dot is also fun for playing games.

Great value. No need to spend $179 for the launcher to go. I don't have 49 is a tremendous value and when connected to the Bluetooth speaker, you were home we noticed a difference between that and it's big brother

Has all the smart home functionality of any of the larger models at a fraction of the price. if paired with a decent Bluetooth speaker it can essentially do everything the larger speakers can do.

I have an Echo and bought the 2nd generation Dot to go with it. I am in Germany as I write this and the Dot connects to the hotel wi-fi with no problems. I bought a small camera case to protect the Dot when travelling.

After buying one for myself and seeing how well it performed, it was put on my Christmas list for friends and family. We use it everyday to play music, control lights, and answer random questions. This thing is great!

We absolutely love these Echo Dots...from a cheerful good morning, shopping on Amazon, keeping multiple lists, reminding us of appointments and birthdays to providing lots of entertainment Alexa is great!
