The Echo Dot is a fun addition to your techie items, it is capable of doing a great many things like the larger echo devices including playing a song for you, setting an alarm, or just giving you tomorrow’s weather report. Best Buy had the Dot on sale when I picked this up, I already had a larger Echo and one Dot but another Dot for another room or for the cabin up north? I couldn’t pass it up at the sale price.. they are easy to set up with the Alexa app on your phone or iPad it walks you through it.

Good speaker for indoor use. Value for money product with in this budget.

Got this during the holidays when it was on sale. For what it cost, it certainly does so much. I have smart devices all over the house so this is a must have. The audio is slightly better than gen 2 but is almost negligible. Can't go wrong with his one.

Enjoy the size but don’t love that needs to be plugged in 24/7

Just watch for sales. There is usually a time when you can get one for free with purchase of some smart device. Out of 6 of these things, I think I paid for maybe 2 on Prime Day. Otherwise, I got them with smart air purifiers, a thermostat, a Ring camera, etc. After all, if you are willing to be spied on, you shouldn't have to pay for it.

They work pretty well and do what you would expect. Not the biggest fan, but no complaints.

Wait when they go on sale, buy a bunch. You have intercomm, announcements, and can play the same music throughout your house. No more wires, All wifi driven. I have 14 speakers set up from my cellar to my top two floors and still adding.

I give these as gifts through the year. Great for multi room sound on a budget. I recommend buying at least 2 of them, so you can pair it and play music. I named mine “echo” in the settings, so those darn commercials don’t activate it.

I had bought several of these already, but when i bought one cor my husband for his birthday, he was reluctant to use it. However, he absolutely loves it now!

I have Echo First, Second and now Third generation and it looks a little more sleek than the old hockey puck style but as far as why it is better than the Second generation, I’m still trying to figure it out! Unless you must have the latest / greatest...

We had an Amazon Echo in our family room/kitchen area that we used on a regular basis and when the new Echo Dot (3rd gen) came out we decided to expand this technology to the upstairs. It been great having easy access to Alexa throughout the house!

I love the Echo Dot! It is a great way to entertain the grandkids an even myself! If you are stumped on a question 9 times out of 10 Alexa has the answer!! I gave one to my son for a housewarming present and he loves it!!

I have a generation 2 echo dot. This one is way better! It’s amazing! It gets really loud and still small. I have three all different colors.
