The only complaint I have when capared to the 2nd gen dot is audio from the aux output is weaker. Not by much, but enough that I noticed (my dots are connected to Bose 2.1 systems) If you can get these on sale for $20-$30 don’t hesitate. Jump on it as they sell out fast

Alexa is like family

If you want play music, need an answer to question, weather...just ask Alexa. Probably one of the best purchases but yet sometimes we shut her down. The kids will stress her out, lol!

Alexa is really not used too much in our house. I would recommend it if you have a numerous “smart appliances”. The microphone has about a 30ft range and can be heard from that distance, speaking in a normal volume. The sound is adequate for a room speaker for some background music. Improved Sound!

After buying this one, I had to buy 4 more for the rest of my home. When you hook up the echo to smart plugs, you can easily set different skills to turn on appliances in your home.
