Great device and easy to use! It picked up my words very precisely. Has so many useful functions for everyday use!

Note: This device was included with another purchase. Still getting used to this Echo Dot and Alexa's abilities. For some reason or another our new LG television won't connect, so having her control any part of the TV is a no go. The TV says it's connected but she doesn't see it. She is responsive though, just be very specific with your commands, questions, etc. Pandora playing through this device is okay as far as sound quality, but when you consider the size of the speaker then it's certainly sounds better than it should. Of course, we have other devices if we want better sound quality/quantity, so Alexa is not a primary source for music. To take full advantage of her abilities you have to have more of a smart home (thermostat, lights and successful connections), which we don't...yet. If you do though, then I could see how this device could be more useful.

I love that i can drop in on my kids in another room and hear what us going or talk back and forth

I have 4 of the 2nd generation dots and this was my first purchase of this generation. My oldest daughter moved out into her first apartment and need a dot. If I could have bought her a 2nd gen I would have. This generation doesn't seem to pickup voices as well. Although it's a bit early i think the fabric on this is going to collect dust like a magnet.

Simpke setup and integration with existing dots, etc. Wish it had more activate commands.

I was happy to add this to my garage, really like having one there too!

This is the third Echo item we’ve purchased for our household, and we love them! Every since we bought the first one, we knew we’d be buying more. They are great, easy to use, and their features are spectacular. For example, I can send an announcement from my phone through the app to be announced through the Echo to whoever’s at home. It’s so great because I can say things like “Announce that I am at the grocery store in case anyone needs anything” and I’ll get texts from family who heard the announcement. Technology.

This is a great product. Amazon is running the game is all aspects of retail. Use to use expectations met.

Note: This is a second review since I purchased two of these. Overall the device works well but you are supposed to be able to set routines. Such as saying "Alexa Good Morning" and have it give you the weather, your schedule etc. I established two simple routines turn on lights, turn off lights. Both commands control three lights. One will go on and off regularly. The other two are hit or miss, mostly miss.

I love alexa, its the best way to domotized your home, more smart than apple and windows alternatives, the amazons services are integrated very well with the alexa

We love this Echo Dot - talk to Alexa and hear all the great music that you want - also capable of setting an alarm to wake us up when necessary

I have 4 dots and one echo. The dots are great, the echo is a bit shady at times but I like that they all hook together and you can use them like an intercom system.

Works great, helps me to find lost items. Thankful my assistant is always ready to help assist when needed.

The echo dot is as functional as its big brothers and a good piece to have.

Like always the echo works great for turning things on and off.

My husband asked Alexa if it would help him do dishes. Alexa's response was "sorry, I don't have any hands but I have a great chore list to play for you. Would you like me to play it?" My husband said the chore list was great, lol!

I bought this for my son. He loves listening to his music on it.

Like the fact that everything is hands free. I also like that the sound is clear and the fact that is loud enough for the Bluetooth option feature

I bought this product for my daughter and family. She is active military, her husband a school teacher, and have 2 active children. They use this product all the time for information, shopping lists, reminders of meetings, ball practice, etc.
