The only complaint I have when capared to the 2nd gen dot is audio from the aux output is weaker. Not by much, but enough that I noticed (my dots are connected to Bose 2.1 systems) If you can get these on sale for $20-$30 don’t hesitate. Jump on it as they sell out fast

Essential product for an integrated house

With the Echo we can make announcements to everyone in the house, turn on lights and appliances, and drop in to talk to other Echos in the house directly. We also use them to keep track of our shopping list, or just to ask it a question. The sound quality is also amazing. You would not believe the sound that this small disk puts out. Don't buy one, buy 5 and put them all over the house. It is worth it.

Mostly Useful Dot

Have to wait for a specific Alexa WiFi option to appear on WiFi option list. Had to try several times before option appeared. Worked mostly fine after that. Has disconnected from WiFi a few times after that. Alexa tells you to reconnect using app, but much quicker just to unplug and plug back in after 20 seconds. Then reconnects fine on its own.

Thought I would hate this

But then we stopped caring about this and started making Alexa announce a bunch of hilarious things.
