Great little gadget. Works great, just loud enough: plays music, gives weather, I use it all the time for timers when cooking. Love the device. Use it to play party music on multiple devices. Use it to turn on and off lights also, great product. Highly recommend!

My 3rd dot, not as replacements, but in additional areas around the house. Absolutely love the ease of use and quality of sound.

I got one for my daughter but everyone loved this cool smart speaker that I ended up buying one for the whole family including myself. Just use simple word commands and you can listen to music, turn off your smart light bulbs and even program the alarm to go off. Also it was on sale at a really good price. Everyone is enjoying it.!

Simply put - I practically hated every waking moment with the 2nd Gen Echo Dot. The mic never worked right, but forget even hearing my voice if there was any music in the background. The speaker was that of an early 2000's cell phone, which I don't use this to listen to music... It just made "Alexa" sound tinny and unbearable to listen to for more than 2-3min. The 3rd gen? I gotta say Amazon finally decided to put some real thought into it, bravo. (Even though it looks like a carbon copy of the Google Mini). At least the mic seems on the money each time. The speaker is so much better I don't mind listening to podcasts, etc. on it at all. Somehow the Bluetooth seems to work more efficiently... I've been told that's because it's using different, less error-prone hardware and protocols behind the scenes. All in all, trying to remove all bias aside from the experience with the 2nd gen... I would say regardless it's actually a pretty good product.

Great little device for playing music or asking Alexa what the weather is every morning. I have it connected to my satellite radio subscription so super convenient to listen to my favorite shows. Also connected o Apple Music so have my entire library to listen to. Liked it so much we bought a 2nd.

Alot better than the previous generations. Easier to use, more accurate, and iy even looks better. Ready to purchase another for other rooms

I love using my dots for music, news, weather updates, alarms, and even sleep sounds. They are wonderful to have in multiple rooms.

Speaker works and sounds really good. Lots of good uses for the speaker definitely would buy again

I have the plus and echo dot I love both nice to have in all the rooms will connect with my hue lights to turn on and off or adjust the home lighting

I got the Echo Dot (3rd Gen) as a freebie when buying the Ring Pro Doorbell. Made it all a great purchase value. I'm a little leery of having something always listening and keeping a record of it. But, with that said, I have enjoyed having Alexa play Sirius XM channels at my request. The sound is really great for such a small speaker. I may buy a 2nd one to pair it for "stereo" sound. I like using Alexa to turn on and off my Feit Smart LED lights. Limited use so far but I'm looking forward to expanding my usage as I experiment with this technology.

Great unit great quality works wonderful allows me to control my units at home thru WiFi and music and info with just asking Alexa. Also Great sound

Easy set up. Speaker is better than the prior generation. Understand everyone In the family speaking extremely well. Even my 3 year old daughter can use it.
