I already own a Tap so this was a perfect choice for a smaller room. The sound quality is actually very good and this is a great deal for the price.

Smart assistant, great speaker, easy to operate, can control light with Alexa

This product is easy to use and sounds great! We put multiple dots in our bedrooms for kids to play music and ask questions. It opens up a whole new world!

These little echo Dot’s are a nice little addition to any room, or equipment without Alexa built in. The work good, and have good sound.

I replaced a second gen Echo dot. I couldn't be happier. The third generation sounds much better and was easier to set up.

I got this as a stocking stuffer and my 12 year old likes this the best out of all of his gifts! Great speaker with fantastic functionality.

So I have two google mini and an echo dot. I think the microphone sensitivity and responsiveness of the dot is much better. Google, even on the highest sensitivity setting often takes saying things twice. I like saying alexa over ok google or hey google too, its faster. The sound quality is pretty comparable. I do like the dot light right as well. The build feels nice. I have noticed that some commands alexa struggles wtih. The harmony remote service works great with google, but not with alexa. Also, alexa struggles with opening garage commands. Alexa is faster on turning on lights and switches. So its a toss-up. I do like the amazon integration and the setup was faster in the amazon app. I do like the alexa app better than google. So there is no wrong answer and really not a clear winner. They both have their benefits.

Love the Echo Dot (3rd generation)! Sounds quality is great and it is fast and easy to get info off the web without reaching for your phone or device.

Works really well and very convenient. We placed ours in the backyard and use it to play music and turn on smart lights.

Received a echo dot with my purchase which was pretty cool. The little speaker is a fun addition to the household when you want to listen to music hands free. Or want to set alarms to wake you up in the morning. Can also use it to navigate your smart TV, amongst other things if you have more than one. Sounds pretty good for the size. Would've been cool if you were able to charge it and take it around the house. Definitely enjoying my little speaker. Might buy another to have in a second area soon. This would be a cool gift for someone older who wants to have a little speaker and isn't tech savy as far as hooking up to a Bluetooth speaker and having to use a music app to find music they like. They could just ask Alexa to create a playlist for them. Even the kids could enjoy this little device.

This Product offers decent sound and richer bass, compared to my much cheaper Bluetooth speaker, the Boat Stone 260. It works seamlessly with my smart home devices, and the app is fantastic. The app works great, and you can control your smart home or this dot from anywhere in the world, as long both of your devices have an internet connection. It's a fun little party trick, really. I couldn't be more happier with my echo dot.
