    Love having a smart device in my home. This one came free with the ring alarm system I bought so it was a plus. You can easily ask Alexa to do smart things in your home.

    I am not a huge fan of ALEXA use. It is convenient and my wife likes to ask it questions, but I prefer to research full answers online, or search out GOOGLE questions. I consider that the ALEXA responses are at an elementary HEY SIRI level--useful, but not exactly academic. Oh well...

    Enjoying my second Dot in the bedroom. It offers so much in entertainment, as well as any amount of questions you may have. Alexa will let me start my car with Blue link.

    after using both Echo dot and Google assistance for about 2 years i have to say i like Echo Dot a lot more. This 3rd generation has excellent audio quality and the microphone is very good as well.

    This is my first echo, and it is a great intro to the world of Alexa. Girl does everything. Turns my lights off, turns my tv on, plays my podcast. Love her so much. The only reason I would get an upgrade is if you are using this as a speaker for your tv, which it does as well. Honestly cannot say enough about how much this and Alexa do. +plus if your family gets an echo, get ready to start dropping in on them (mind blown)

    I bought this as a gift for my parents and they love it. It works great with the sengled light bulb. They ask it for weather, time, music etc. It shipped super fast!

    I have several of the Dot's as well as the Google ones. I find that overall Amazon Dot seems to be better at giving me answers than Google.

    I already had a few Echo Dots when this 3rd Generation came out on sale for this holiday season. I decided to try one to see if the upgrade was worth it and it definitely is at that price. Better sound and aesthetics are the top hitters for improvement but I would say there is a bit speedier response and the added option to have it listen after the initial interaction with "follow on" is a great benefit. (except when I get an unsatisfactory response and verbalize my disappointment :-)
