4th hen is way better.

Save your money and get the newer one. These are great for the bathroom though. 4th gen also blows away in sound quality.

Much better than 2nd Gen

That said, it’s still far from perfect firmware wise. The Amazon ecosystem has some deep underlying flaws that I’m not super happy still exist.

Works just like my first gen Alexa

They really should work on the setup and make it easier. Logging onto an unsecured wifi network seems a bit ridiculous. Can't get it to play music from my iTunes library, but it will play Amazon music (of course) and Pandora.
