This Amazon smart speaker is great. It has clear sound and you don't need an external speaker with it. I had an echo dot 2nd gen that you needed an external speaker. It was okay, but I gave it to someone else. This echo dot is located in the master bedroom. We can have it turn on/off the bedside lamps, play the radio station at night to sleep by, set reminders. Awesome.

I have several dots and they are all awesome! Play music all the time and love being able to ask questions.

Originally got this to listen to my Amazon music account in my office, but was pleasantly surprised at the sound. Ultimately I moved this to my living room then realized that the one feature that I'm thrilled about is the ability to connect on the fly to a stereo receiver via Bluetooth when I'm ready to shake the house. Whenever I turn on the stereo, it automatically connects, and I'm ready to go. Very pleased with this purchase.

This was a new addition to the baby room. Prefect for baby sleeping music. It also was easy to sync to my lights and other units.

It was free during thanksgiving... I love the small size and the price of course. The sound is great but the IOS app is horrible.

The Dot is easy to setup and works well. It has a surprisingly good speaker for such a small item. Definitely recommended.

We bought two of these. We have the large one and these are two additional little ones. One is used mainly for a speaker to play music in a workout room and the other one is in the bedroom. We have it paired with a couple smart bulbs so it is nice to be able to turn on the lights with our voice when entering the room. It is also convenient if we remembered something to add to the grocery list or to play sleepy music at night.

Never really thought we would use one of these but over time I find that we have music playing in the background of game nights and dinner and we've started adding lighting control. This was actually really fun at Christmas time as we added a couple more wireless controllers to the decorations. And the family actually likes to play Jeopardy after supper. Sometimes do worry about the whole "big brother is listening" thing but my phone does that just as much so <shrug>.

Easy to use and navigate. Alexa can read bed time stories to the kids, tell you the time and even play your favorite music.

Great for gifting your family members! I gifted one of many of these I bought to my cousin and her son connected their Smart TV with it. Her mother, his grandmother is cooking and her sister came in and said, "Alexa turn off tv" and her sister was so confused thinking someone was also in the house. Great way to show off you are a tech guru ;)
