Funnier than Google Home Mini
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wouldn’t have bought this since I previously received a Google Home Mini as a Xmas gift but I received this as a free add-on item when I purchased my Ring alarm. For me both the Mini & this Dot do pretty much the exact same thing except for 2 things. 1, I can activate/disactivate my Ring alarm through this Dot. I believe they are both technically owned by Amazon so it makes sense they work together & not the Google Home Mini & #2, when you ask them to tell a joke, Alexa is funnier than Google.

I ask for the weather, the day and anything I need to know and it’s quick to reply! Also the sound is amazing when playing music. My class loves to speck to Alexa and request songs!

I gifted one of many of these I bought to my cousin and her son connected their Smart TV with it. Her mother, his grandmother is cooking and her sister came in and said, "Alexa turn off tv" and her sister was so confused thinking someone was also in the house. Great way to show off you are a tech guru ;)

Sound quality is great for an apartment size surround sound feel. Rich and theatrical. Amazon has me hooked. But I hate that the Alexa AI keeps asking to get to know me better, to recognize my voice. Not unless you treat me to dinner first!
