This came free with a Ring doorbell I bought. Was reluctant to get the freebie cause my friends/family either have one or don’t want one and I already had 3 Echo devices but got it anyway. It’s an improvement over the 2nd generation Dot because the sound quality is much better. Otherwise it’s basically just like my other 2 2nd Gen Echo Dots. This Echo Dot is probably the best way to get an affordable smart speaker if you don’t want to go all in and get the main $100 dollar one.

I love my Echo Dot! I brought one and turned around and brought two more to add more to the sound in the house. I love when have so much in my hands and I arrive home to just ask Alexa to turn the lights on, it is an amazing feeling! I must be honest I wish the sound was louder but I guess I could have brought a different one if that was a requirement when I was looking.

Got this as an add-on to my eero mesh wifi. Easy setup and operation with the app. Use it mostly to play music and general info. Really good sound for its small size. Terrific for under-counter or desktop.

Love the Alexa, it’s been great with the sound quality and super easy to use with the buttons on the top.

I have several these around the house and am always asking it questions. Usually out of curiosity and sometimes because I really need to know. Always comes in handy when turning on and off lights and setting alarms and timers. I hope it's not eavesdropping, but I really have nothing to hide. Also nice, it being from Amazon, you can use your voice to order from Amazon. Just don't let small children order anything from Alexa

I didn't know how easy it would be to set up this device. I was wondering what it would do. I bought a light bulb and now - I don't have to get out of bed to turn the light off. Sometimes, I do believe Alexa is hard of hearing me. Still - I am enjoying talking with Alexa

Speaker is small enough it doesnt take up a lot of room, but has such great sound and provides great Alexa knowledge!

I had 5 echo dots (2nd Gen) throughout the house and used them for just about everything. I came across a deal that the more you buy the more you save. I got 5 of the 3rd gens and couldn't be happier. Better sound, better range, and better understanding. I paid about $18 per unit and sold my 2nd gens for $100. I was able to upgrade for just about nothing. These are the best sounding echo dots to date. Grab a few, they do just about everything you could want them to.

I use the Echo Dot basically for listening to music and a few basic things, alarms, weather, etc. The only issue I’ve had is when I try to connect to my Sirius/XM, it immediately drops the boardcast after a few minutes. I also have Siri, and have no problem with it using my Sirius/XM. Want to learn how to control the lights. Not as easy as they say.
