Easy set up and works very nicely, bought one for each room in the house

Good sound quality and compact format with all the functionality of a full sized Echo.

Added another dot to control home automation devices and play music through pandora and amazon music. Handy device.

I fell in LOVE with it and started finding great deals on the Echo Dots so I could afford to scatter them throughout the house. Once you really dig into all of the things Alexa is capable of you won’t stop trying new stuff. The dots are awesome Add-ons to the Main Echo Plus 2nd Gen, just really neat gadgets to have. I guess one would be alright to have as a solo but if you can spring for the Echo Plus with the built in hub , I would definitely suggest it.

I am currently dipping my toes into home automation and was already using Ring cameras. Since Amazon now owns Ring I decided to jump into the Alexa ecosystem and have been happy so far. This Dot is responsive and can do voice recognition pretty well, which I have heard is an issue with some of the other ecosystems on the market.

I purchased a fire tv and echo dot. Alexa works seamlessly with my fire tv. took a little web research to connect the tv with alexa, but once connected there have been no issues. I set the tv to turn on with the cable and my elderly mother has no trouble tuning to the channels she wants. She has a bit of a learning curve with Alexa, but she is doing better.

Purchased 2 Echo dots due the great price Best Buy had for one. Works great with all my smarthome devices.

Instructions to set-up are straight-forward and it's easy to manage with your personal device.

This is my first Echo and I'm surprised how well the voice recognition works. The only negative I can see is that this version does not have a battery so it always has to be plugged in, but it's also the cheapest version too.

I was not sure about having this type of device but have found it useful and fun at times. If you are worried about it just unplug it when you are not using it. The Phone app is well Organized and easy to change settings . You do need it to get it online for set up. After that just ask it answers. It does have an option to turn off listening so it will not respond to anything . For a small speaker the music sound quality is very good

I am SO addicted to Alexa! I mainly play music through out my house all day and even when I am sleeping. I ask her for the weather and time. Silly questions for fun. I have the light bulb but have not set it it up yet. I take it with me every time I travel. Can't sleep without background music and the sound quality is awesome! I bought 25 of them for customer appreciation gifts!

Great value, have a bunch in our house now, so got another as a gift. Just a heads up that if you're setting it up for someone less savvy, be prepared to get access to their account for multi-factor authentication. Great device for the smart features, not great as a standalone speaker due to limited sound quality, but can be hooked up to larger speakers via 3.5mm jack.

Works great with my stereo and other products, Spotify Amazon. Out of the box can be a little confusing connecting to Internet and then phone app. But once its passed that setup, everything starts to work great. Total setup time for basic user is probable 30-1 hour. Someone techy could probably do this in 15-30 min. YouTube maybe a good resource to find out how to setup as well. Will need a pigtail to connect to stereo to play though speakers.

This was easy to set up and love the sound. It's perfect for a small room. I will be buying more for other rooms.

It started as me buying myself a gift of the Fire Stick with my income tax refund. However, the sales associate recommended the Echo Dot third generation as well. I figured, why not? This is by far the best electronic purchase I’ve made in the past 20 years! Amazon outdid themselves with this one, and I’m just happy Best Buy sells these products! Thank you Best Buy!

I use it mostly as a speaker and it has great sound it’s worth the price.Its loud easy to use I would recommend it
