Better than the second and first generation

I can say for a fact that this third generation echo dot has definitely gotten better in terms of voice recognition and sound quality. With the first and second generation versions of this product, I had to tell to triiger the Alexa voice assistant when I was far from the speaker. However, now that is no longer the case.

It can answer almost any question we throw at it - like trivia, the weather, etc. When we would normally google something, we just ask Alexa instead. Plus having a timer, reminders, and notifications on Amazon orders is quite convenient, too.

Connect it to your existing stereo or stand alone

Of course it also works as a stand alone device with pretty decent sound from such a tiny speaker. Just don't expect it to fill a room with sound.
