Alexa… my new best friend

Purchased two of these to cover the new house. Setup was easy as I already have an Alexa setup at my phone in NY. The best part, using the “Alexa - Drop-In” feature, I can drop in and talk to my wife and dogs In NY, without picking up the phone.

My Personal Assistant
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this to tell me what the temp is outside, I walk by it and say add eggs to grocery list, I ask what reminders I have for the day, my granddaughter even uses it to help with her weekly spelling words, I listen to music on it everyday and I have 6 echos in my house and it is cool I can say play music everywhere and it plays through out the house, it will even read me my books I have in my kindle app. Buy this it is GREAT and very user friendly.

I absolutely LOVE my Dot.

I am able to turn my TV on and off with it, switch input modes on the TV, get the weather, set reminders, etc. My favorite feature is the shopping list. I no longer forget to pick things up at the store. I ask Echo to add things to my list as I think of them. So awesome!

Great speaker but bass is too strong

It can be improved a little by reducing the bass level in the Alexa app however I still prefer the 2nd generation over this one for Alexa commands.
