It’s a pretty good device for your personal use. I have my fan and lights connected to it so I don’t have to get up to turn on/off lights or fan. The sound is very good for a room. Can also be used for small parties

I never really needed one. I wrote them off as kinda pointless, but having received one with my tv, I am happy to say I have used this little device to the fullest extent. I synced it to some smart bulbs so I can turn off lights when I'm too tired to get out of bed. I can set alarms with just my voice. Place phone calls, Google stuff, play music with fantastic audio quality, and I can get it to read me bed time stories.

Amazon echo dot 3rd gen is an excellent smart mini speaker for your home. I did lots of research and analysis and picked this one instead of Google home mini. Google home mini has the advantage of much louder sound and volume but except that in every other areas echo dot 3rd gen excels. That does not mean it's sound quality is low. It has excellent bass treble and overall volume to suit your needs. If you have other fire TV, it integrates beautifully. You can use it as external speaker using in built aux audio port. Look and design is awesome. Where it clearly outperform home mini is the proper button checks. Where home mini has an area and relied on your haptic touch to perform an action it has 4 dedicated buttons which is much easier to use. It's blue ring led is very nice to look even at dark, it's amazing. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase. To sweeten the deal, I got it free during black Friday using my best buy elite plus reward certificate.

I wish i would have bought this much sooner. This is by far, the best item ive purchsed (one for myself and one for my neighbor) in as long as i can remeber. I do highly recommemd this item to everyone. Whether you like listening to music, audio books, asking questions, etc...

Sound great. Very convenient to have around the house. I like the size, not so big and bulky

The Dot is a great option if you want a small device to add Alexa functionality to an existing stereo. Of course it also works as a stand alone device with pretty decent sound from such a tiny speaker. Just don't expect it to fill a room with sound.

Easier setup and super improved sound. I got a great deal which made it even sweeter.

We weren't looking to get an Amazon echo, but took advantage of it being free with a Ring purchase. Great sound quality. We only wish it would accept a charge and didn't have to be plugged in to use.

Oh wow, what can I say about this new Echo Dot! I love it! I had the old generation Echo dots where the volume was so low you could barely hear it unless you were very close to it and these new Echo dots are close to the volume of the Echo Plus. It is really nice to have these when you have a whole house music system going and you can hear all the music playing all through the house.

I can’t believe this little device has such a great sound. Setup was about 2 minutes!

We received the Echo Dot free with the purchase of a TV, and have been very pleased with it. We use if primarily for playing music; it's easy to just issue a voice command to play a certain genre of music, and can listen to styles that we normally would not or that we don't have in our collection. We also use it to check the time or as a timer.

Got this with a TV. It's nice for our Kitty's room. She likes music during the day. Perfect. I don't use it for anything else. Actually, it's cool. I know it's capable of much more. I won't use it for anything but playing music. The sound is really good. I'm serious about the Kitty.

I have several other Echo Dots and Alexa products around my house and absolutely love them all. They sync up so easily to create a nice surround sound. Having older dots I can also say that this version of the Echo Dot is an upgrade in sound. It's so much clearer than on my earlier versions, I am thinking of replacing them with this version. I got a great deal on it at Best Buy also!

Cool Amazon speaker tell you the weather play music you can ask questions, etc. I really had a good time with it

The dot is handy for asking simple questions and it also will adjust my Sonos playbar with just my voice.
