Love having alexa device. My thoughts are so frantic and with Alexa I can actually keep up with myself. I can start a shopping list and it'll show up on the Alexa app on my phone, have it search something on the internet or just play some music. Top tier for someone who always has like 100 things going on in their head at once. Easy to set up too!

Don't let looks deceive you. This little speaker is dynamite. A definite improvement over the previous generation Echo Dot! I have these throughout the house to control different smart devices in each room. Alexa has many cool "skills" that you can add to make it more useful. I love that you can "drop in" to another room to check on the kids or "announce" on all of the devices that dinner is ready. Definitely recommend this device.

For an old-school at-times-tech-challenged guy, it was a pleasure to set up a piece of electronics without requiring an online manual! I haven't explored all the features yet (used it a couple of times to make a call or two to my daughters, used for a timer, and a few times for music*), but I'm confident that this little gadget will be well worth the $30 I spent. *Cynically speaking . . . pretty obvious that this is a "gateway" product for other Amazon products and services - no offense, Amazon - when I want to listen to a specific track of my favorite 80's or 90's band, I don't need to be lured in to subscribing to your music service.

What a fun device to add to our home. We enjoyed setting our device up to outlets to control lamps by voice. Our daughter checks the weather everyday before school, we okay music almost daily, and we have reminders to announce everyone's birthdays in the house.

I really enjoy the dot. I ended up purchasing 4 dots. They are strategically placed in my house and synced up to create a whole home speaker system. It will play my playlists either in one room or all rooms. I can even set it up to play in only two or three rooms if I want to. It’s awesome. Wire free and cheap whole home audio system. The sound quality for a small little device is quite exceptional. The low tones are not as low as I would like it to be but they have a bass module you can add and sync to. I can operate my lights and ceil info fans, lock my front door, close my garage door, have her tel me jokes, sing me a song. The list goes on. It’s a lot of fun and very useful. I can make a whole home announcement from any room in the house or from my phone in the office or on the road. Recommended for sure

This little guy can do just about everything the Echo (2nd Generation) can do, and it takes up less space! We use one each, in our bedroom and family room to complement our regular Echo which resides in-between our kitchen and living room. The only drawback is that the speaker isn't as robust as the Echo's, which is to be expected, because it is much smaller. But for the price (less than 1/2 the price of the Echo), it's a real bargain!

Nice addition. We use it primarily to turn on/off lights in the home but also use it for the limited security feature that it provides (NOT compatible with my DropCam/Nest cameras). It's nice to stream my local talk radio station and SiriusXM stations in the kitchen. Looking back, I wish I had gotten the one with the built in clock for the bedroom.
