I needed more out of the echo. I returned the echo for the echo show which was great for what I needed.

Bought it for my grandmother and she loves it she can call family hands free.

I had trouble setting it up but that’s probably my fault. It’s great once it’s ready to go.

The third gen echo dot is a fantastic resource for your house and/or rooms. By calling "Alexa" you can have it play all kinds of music, have it answer your questions on various topics, give you the latest weather or Dow Jones closing info and more. It will make a shopping list for you and wake you up in the morning. I have two, one in my room and one in the kitchen/dining/living room area. Frankly, it is close to the "library computer" that the Star Trek series relied on all those years. I feel this is one of the best devices made in recent years. Wouldn't live without at least one! Echo dot may be set up from either a mobile phone or a desktop computer that has a WIFI connection.

To check weather, set timers or basic tasks its great. It takes a lot to integrate with all aspects of your daily routine.

No real knocks other than some of the ‘skills’ available are not up to par. Some of my smart devices (toshiba and Samsung TVs are either not supported or rely on third party developers for integration. But great to help remember shopping lists, listen to music and remind of important dates, times, or events.

So far so good. We use it in the family room and we often fight over who gets to ask Alexa something. With the growing list of services (apps) there is something new to discover every week.

Still works well, not quite as good as the 4th generation, but still a great value.

So easy to set the alarm on this & wake up to music. I chose the sandstone color & it’s perfect in my bedroom. This is my third Echo & I highly recommend this product!

Easy to configure and use. It’s an all around gadget for the home. Can be remotely controlled from your mobile phone ... so many good features that until now im still learning.

This is way better than the previous versions. My only complaint is it doesn't always respond when you use the wake word "alexia".

I love this purchase and I would highly recommend. I mostly use it to play music and ask questions. I connected it to my lights, Xbox, and TV.

I mostly use this speaker for my dorm room to drown out the noise of my suite mates doing whatever and it’s a great speaker. One is loud enough and does the trick. The sound quality is great too.

Brought Alexa home plugged her into audio outlet in receiver and into electrical outlet. Downloaded the app and asked Alexa to play Tony Bennett. Worked the very first time... I live it!

I’ve replaced all three of my old Echo Dots with the 3rd Generation w/clock. Not only is having the physical clock nice to have, but it also displays countdown timers as well. That’s a great feature we use in the kitchen where I need multiple timers for cooking. The kitchen is also great place to have Alexa on hand to add items to your grocery list. In dark or very low lit rooms these clocks go very dim and won’t hurt your eyes or disturb you when you’re watching movies or at rest. Another solid Amazon product! These little guys tend to go on sale frequently, so save up and get two.

Great for music, questions you may be puzzled about, allows you to call dot to dot or phone calls to family and friends! Helpful with being a timer for cooking and a great alarm clock!

Free gift with a tv we purchased, but I use it every single day. This is definitely one of those things that you need that you didn’t think you needed.
