Better than the original Echo dot

I have 23 of the first gen echo dots and have them all plugged into an external speaker. The sound is good enough for me and loud enough for me that I don't feel I need to do this with this current gen echo dot. Nice improvements amazon.

Great to for son's room

When he is online gaming with his head phones on he does't hear me or notice my texts/calls. I am injured so going up and down the stairs each time is not pleasant. Now he can see the lights on the Echo Dot and respond. Also, it is a VERY effective way to wake him up for school (he will sleep through (alarms)!!!

Looking forward to see how Amazon continues to update and improve their devices. Set up with tv took 30 minutes after download.

Great addition to the smart home network

Love these Echo Dots as supplement speakers around the house. Great for room to room conversations. Even though they are small the sound quality is great. If you’re setting up a smart home you definitely need these little jewels.

Once you figure out how to get is set to play your favorite radio stations and or using the iHeart radio programming you'll be using this a lot

But one of the best things is asking it questions for cooking purposes, such as, "how many grams in a cup of flour" or "how many carbs in 100grams of potatoes".
