Never thought id give in to the echo dot but first off, its a great little speaker for music, sound is loud enough for a small 10x10 room. She listens well to commands but you cant have the volume too high or she doesnt hear you( unless youre yelling). The echo works great with the bulbs I have in my rooms, I have the WiZ smart bulbs and thats as far as the smart devices in my home go. Ill definitely be purchasing another dot for the the kitchen. Get them when on sale, currently $20.

Once the item came in the house, my 12 years old daughter took this over. She has it in her room and plays music before going to bed. In the mornings she takes it to her bathroom and plays her music while showering and getting ready. It is loud and plays great. I just admit I am a bit jealous and now want one for myself. Great price and excellent quality.

I was happy that the Echo Dot was included as a free item when I purchased my Nvidia Shield. I like the new look when compared to the more industrial earlier models. To my ears the sound quality from the speaker is better the previous models I own. The setup was very simple. If you haven't tested the smart home waters this is an inexpensive and very capable device to get your start.

This echo dot is so convenient when I am in the shower. It is so sensitive to my voice even when I’m in the shower. I think it’s great and has good volume as well

I honestly thought that getting the newest generation dot would be a waste when I already have one, but it’s actually a HUGE improvement. Much faster, more features, and the speaker is insanely better with a lot more volume and bass response than you could ever get out of the older one. If you can get it on sale, it’s definitely worth an upgrade just for the improved speaker alone!

It is an excellent help at home, also if you have lights, switches, or smart devices you can create instructions that turn on or off at specific times or at voice command. You can call someone without your phone.

New echo dot speaker is 10x better than 2nd generation. And new desifn is nice
