The build quality and functionality of the echo using the excellent Amazon music app is unmatched especially considering the very low price. That said one big downside I have encountered is that it is not easy to switch between the build-in speaker and external audio. I always want to listen to music using my stereo system which is not a problem turning it on, but I don't want to keep it on throughout the day, and Alexa isn't smart enough to use the built-in speaker this way (so I can't hear her)... So for now I use these are only used for streaming music, but that works very well.

Nice to have around

We each made our own playlist and it stays in the bathroom for when we have a shower or bath.

Echo Dot is Great!

It was so easy to set up, and he enjoys the music, asking Alexa about the weather, and all kinds of other fun things. The sound quality is amazing for such a small device. I'm thinking of buying one for myself! The contactless pick-up was great too.

He doesn’t care to much about smart devices but he barely started to get around to use it and so far so good. You can connect it other smart devices and use it to make calls even when your phone is lost, stolen , or shut off. Pretty cool!
