Alexa Listens to Everyone!

But I'm not single, and I have four kids, and they all like making Alexa say weird things. I kinda worry about what they'll do with it. I wish it would allow me to be voice-training, so it would only respond to certain people. My wife likes listening to music with the Echo. And I have my coffee percolator plugged into a smart outlet that I can control with Alexa. My percolator doesn't turn off on its own, so I have it set to cut the power off in two hours using an Alexa routine. That's a great feature for me!

Volume control is fine though when falling asleep at night I find that 1 is too soft and 2 is too loud. Nice that it will answer questions about the song it is playing from Pandora, Spotify, and perhaps other streamers. Handy to have the time shown. Does an excellent job of understanding my speech. If wearing a CPAP machine a special effort must be made to speak clearly.
