Better sound than the original echo. She gives good general knowledge. Functionality with Fire TV is good, but could improve. Who knows, maybe I'm the one that needs to learn to use it better.

I have multiple of these Echo Dots in different rooms of the house. Very handy for making announcements (dinner is ready; you have a phone call) to the family even when I am not sure which room they are in. Great for calling down to the basement too. I like the feature where the light ring around the dot let’s you know you have a notification (line of a delivery) without making a sound.

All in all this is a great product but there are a couple things that need to be addressed. 1. needs a small battery source to keep the clock/alarm active. If power or Wifi goes out- clock and alarm are gone. 2. the plug takes up 2 outlets on the power strip. I believe this is a 3rd gen issue only. It is amazingly quick to wake up and perform requested skill. The volume is much louder than anticipated but does sound slightly muffled. Not huge issue but will try to continue to tweak. The product itself feels extremely well built.

Super smart and looks cute. I like the design. Also, the chat function is fun.

I like the fact that I could walk to any room and ask Alexa for stuff when you have several echos dots

The echo dot works fine but "Alexa" doesn't. We have had Google Assistant for over 1.5 years and we were EXCITED to try "Alexa" with all her skills and capabilities. Got it all set up - gave her some "skills" and that's where everything failed. I have a disability that affects my speech - my husban d does not. "Alexa" could not understand my commands (yet she understood me for the voice training). "Alexa" could not understand my husband's commands either and/or the "skill" (app) wouldn't work - and he has no speech disability. Even the built-in "Alexa" voice on our TVs (we have 2) don't work/respond correctly. Google Assistant is by far easier to use and better at understanding and performing the tasks.

Using pretty often for music and weather and for my smart electronics. Worth the price

This is just like the last gen but with a clock and better sound. Works just great! I love it.

I have the amazon echo and was looking for a speaker to put in my room. This is perfect.

It helps to have a hands free life, excellent when you have always your hands very busy or are in a hurry. It can be used as an intercom, As a secretary to make notes or lists, you can download contacts to place phone calls, listen to audio books, weather, news, music, and to do chores around the house with devices connected to Alexa, like guarding the house, turning on/off the lighting, opening garage doors, etc.

This Echo Dot has very clear sound.sounds much better than the original Echo Dot.Enjoying my Amazon music!
