My son and daughter in law bought me an Echo Dot for Christmas last year. I loved it so much I bought another for another room. Best Buy put them on sale and I bought 4 more for family this Christmas! Great price even when not on sale. Everyone is thrilled and we can even call each other on this device! Love it

I got this as a bonus when purchasing another item. It is fun to use. I can ask it questions like what is the weather, or what time is it if I’m too busy to look up the information direction. I use it to listen to my radio station or a particular artist, place orders on Amazon, play Jeopardy, and many other things. It’s just a fun, little device!

This third Echo Dot is intuitive, it can certainly do a lot and there's lots of potential. I purchased two smart plugs, synched them to the dot, and boom! Bedroom lights are on with a short command. There are LOTS of other uses but not many ideas are included in the box - why Amazon doesn't offer an extensive list upon purchase is strange; instead, they continually add more ideas over a period of time which I'm not a fan of, hence 4 instead of 5 stars. Sound quality could be a little bit better, so I gave it a "good" instead of excellent on the quality.

Plays music for me, tells me jokes, plays games with the kids, gives me the latest news, recipes, I’m 67 years old, I keep her on my nightstand and it makes me feel safe in case I can’t get to my phone, Alexa will make a call for me or drop in on one of my kids so I can talk to them, also she guards my house when I leave, I love it

Easy setup for anyone. Music is pretty loud. Recommend!

The echo dot has wonderful sound and easy to use. I use it daily.

I was very happy to complete the easy installation of this item. Sometimes devices can be a bit too daunting for me, not so with Echo Dot. I also like the small size.

Echo dot smart speaker is great for listening to music as well as the multitude of other things you can use it for. We use it to control a few things around the house, as well as setting timers and reminders and answering questions. Never have had any problems with it, works except when we have WiFi issues, of course. Amazing little gadget.

I got it on a really good deal at Best Buy. It was very easy to set up and I have enjoyed and used it more than I really thought I would. The hands free operation is so very nice. I find myself asking Alexa more and more to play music, the time, make phone calls, etc. The sound quality is amazing. I was so impressed with it, I ordered a second one.

I purchased the RING Doorbell, that came with the Amazon Echo Dot. I am very happy with my purchase. Easy to use, as well as easy to learn to use. I like how I was able to make it compatible with the RING Doorbell. I placed in the back part of my home, where I might no be able to hear the doorbell, but close enough to where the Echo Dot can still hear me.

I was looking for an additional Alexa-enabled device to place in another part of the house, but wasn't interested in spending much money. This fit the bill, and I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. I also much prefer the aesthetics of this device to the previous generation of the Dot. Still, I wish they hadn't discontinued the Tap...*sigh*

This was a free addition to my Ring Flood Cam which was on sale for $200, which is rare that Ring products go on sale. Already owning first a Ring Doorbell Promand second a Ring Chime Ok, on to the Echo Dot, we don’t use it much yet, basically asking what the outside temp is or what football games are on. During holidays we asked Alexa to play iHeart Christmas music.

I love my Echos. I have 8 of them. I use them to stream music through out my house and garages. Two of them are hard wired or blue toothed to stereo receivers. These receivers run my whole house stereo systems in my house and main garage. They also make it easy to make shopping lists and get information anywhere in my house.
