This unit controls all of automated outlet plugs and controls most of my daily routines, so it servers it’s purpose well.

With a newborn, and often having no hands, it is very helpful to turn on or off lights, and play lullabies to help soothe him to sleep. We bought one to try it out, and loved it so much we bought 3 more. We also have a deaf son, who has speech problems. He can't say Google, or Alexa but he can say Echo and is exhilarated when Echo understands him (he is 9).

I listen to podcasts and library books, use timers, check the weather and the news, and listen to relaxing sounds and music. If you whisper your request, she whispers back. Very responsive and can do just about everything.

I am not at all happy with the TV, but this Echo Dot is pretty nice. Alexa is very responsive. I have not had an issue with the assistance that I request at all, be it music, information, or anything else.
