    The DOT is good, not great, not poor, just good. Expect a little more from the company that is trying to take over the world but guess they think they have it already and don't care about making a great product.

    Not sure what to say about the Dots at this point, they've been around for awhile. I will say this was my first 3rd gen Dot, and you can definitely tell a difference. The addition of the fabric cover makes it feel like a more upscale product. I also feel like the sound quality is a bit better than the 2nd gen, but that's not saying much. It's still nothing to write home about. Another difference is in the plug-in. My 2nd gen Dots came with what was essentially a wall adapter (like you'd get with a cell phone or tablet) with a micro-USB cable. This has been changed to a more traditional "wall wart" type plug for the 3rd gen.

    Really like the Echo Dot. It was shipped fast, easy to install and easy to use. The Alexa app is great. Like the shopping list and different skills available. Con; not able to play Pandora.
