I love Alexa, she sets my alarms, plays music, and farts on demand!

Thought I get a second echo dot and now i can cover more rooms and control more devices in my home. I'm lining myself up for a complete security system and i need more help getting things set up. I think this device will be very valuable in getting my house connected.

I got the Dot with the Hue Bridge and light bulbs for the dining room based on recommendations from some coworkers. I couldn't be happier. Able to control multiple light sources (dining room and bedroom), the Bose SoundTouch sound bar, music, info, etc. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try to start to make their home smarter.

Good easy to use and have good sound and apps and features

Does all the functions I need it to do in a life day to day basis. There’s a variety of products that work with Alexa that makes your life simple and easy. For me I’d prefer Alexa but it really comes down to price and preference. Google mini home is a good rival too tbh. It’s a matter of research if you can’t decide but Alexa is a great device!

Good sound for size. Love the fact that I can just ask for music.

It's an echo dot. Decent quality speaker. Have had issues with all of my echo dots lagging or being unresponsive over the last six months. Takes them forever to do something I ask. Also they don't do so well with some skills. They work great with Ring systems but if you have Vivint, not so much.

Love my Alexa and the ease of use. I tell her to add something to my shopping list and it's done. No more lists left at home and trying to remember what was on the list while in the store. I tell her to add something to my calendar and it's there. Love my lightbulb that I received free with my purchase.

Its better than the Gen2. I have the Echo Dot Gen2 and Gen3 playing out of a/v receiver. The Gen 2 has a slow response compared to the Gen3. When my ring doorbell detects motion before my phone can say anything that Gen3 has already said it, then my phone then the Gen2 Echo dot. Music of voice prompts sounds awesome with the changes to speaker placement. love it

I am a fan. We already had an Echo Dot, now we have two. You can sync up the two speakers and have music playing throughout the house. I am really enjoying this smart speaker. I am able to control all our smart plugs and devices, this with very little setup.

Sounds much better than the 2nd generation dot. Nice sleek look also.

Love it , it is the to go assistant. From weather to shopping list does everything. Its getting smarter. Privacy is a concern however in this day all the information is everywhere anyways , so I don't worry about it much. This generation has much better sound , faster , bass is much better and music sounds very good. Recommended.

I love this unit. You can talk to it and ask it to do anything like set a timer for 5 minutes or turn on dog light or turn on plant light, or turn on front porch light and also tell it to turn off all of these items. We have 3 of these units through out the house and each of them works just as easily as the next.
