I now have 5 of these around the house. Slowly converting light switches to be controlled. Alexa can control my robot vacuum, play my spotify music, remind me of appointments, keep my shopping list, turn on the Christmas lights and tell me the weather conditions from my weather station. I'm in nerd heaven!

Small and compact unit, easy to use and set on the shelf

Bought the Echo to stream music to my Sony stereo receiver that does not have Blue Tooth capability. I have Sirius / XM and I can now play the XM streaming service thru my whole house stereo system. Just need a 3.5mm to RCA stereo audio cable and plug it into the back of the Echo Dot audio line out and the other end into your stereo receiver. I can also Blue Tooth my iPad music thru the Echo Dot from my ITunes library. Set up was easy using the Alexa app and I like the low profile of the unit on my entertainment center.

Absolutely loved it, almost only ever used as an extra speaker in my home though

It’s a nice product but it seems like they are shipping these free with every electronic purchase I order. I have one Echo, one Alexa, and two Echo Show Devices. I have enough for every room in the house, but not enough bandwidth to keep them going with two phones, three iPads, two TVs all using wireless. When our son calls, we have to disengage wireless on our phone so that video will work on FaceTime.

Echo Dot 3rd Gen great sound easy to setup to control lights etc.

I have come to like the Echo models with screens better. They are more pricey, but they also do more. Some of them also have larger speakers, so the sound quality is better. I have had this model and also the basic Google model. I came to like this better. I do a good bit of smart home control with these and I like the response and also the quality of the voice. For an entry-level device, this does a decent job. I have given some of these to friends as gifts and they and their children have enjoyed them.

I always said smart speakers weren't something I needed in my life. Now that I have this Echo, I still think that, but I also understand why people like them. Alexa has so many different skills. I can even control my touchscreen Samsung oven with it, and as a blind person, that's just awesome. Also, I definitely think Alexa is a better assistant than Siri, and I'm pretty enmeshed in the Apple ecosystem.

I bought 2 of the Echo dot 2nd gen after my daughter had shown me how functional they are, my wife enjoys them and we're constantly using the timer and alarm functions, along with the ability to get weather & news updates via Alexa. I've got 2 more on order & waiting for delivery as we like the intercom function & at the price ($25) you can't beat it.

I received two Echo Dot (#rd Gen) Smart Speakers along with my purchase of two different smart home items (Ring home security system and then a Ring Video Doorbell...I have a fairly large home with many different rooms, so I'm really happy with the ability to extend my communication with Alexa...love the simple clean design and works great!

Love The Echo Dot 3rd Gen. Easy to use n pretty good sound!

Very easy to use and set up, it is small but sound loud.

I wanted to replace the gen 1 dot I had in my living room and I was pleased with the time I had using it, but I knew there were new features and designs of the new generation that would make my home life a little bit easier. Never anything to complain about with this product and I would continue to purchase future models when it's time.

We have 3 Alexa's in our home. One in the bedroom, one in the living room and we got this one for our backyard. It's linked up to our Ring and so no matter where we are in the house, Alexa is there to alert us of any one at the door. I really enjoy having these devices throughout the house. It makes life a little easier.

Great sound and its amazing all you can ask Alexa to do

This echo dot is so convenient when I am in the shower. It is so sensitive to my voice even when I’m in the shower. I think it’s great and has good volume as well
